Vassilis Theocharakis painting exhibition "On the Edge"

Vassilis Theocharakis continues to ceaselessly surprise us with the consistency and power of the truth of his painting world. The current exhibition, with his familiar painting style, carries the breath of Greece. Some eighty works, oil paintings and watercolours, from the period 2012-2022, complete its physiognomy. These are unique landscapes, reflecting the unsurpassed beauty of the Aegean and Ionian Seas, as well as the unexplored forests.
Theocharakis continues to passionately paint the edge of a beach, each time from a different part of our land, remaining steadfast in his principles: design sharpness, harmonious colour contrasts, wise compositional structure. Art for him is always a source of knowledge. Thus, he delivers us a world of unprecedented pictorial images, which reinforce our conviction that here begins a journey of his own that has no end, just as it happens in dreams.
This is confirmed by the unity of his recent landscapes and his thirty-five watercolours, which reveal, in the most emphatic way, his consistency and passion for painting and nature. Through these works he takes us on a journey to spaces where, beyond the undisturbed silence, mysterious light and the ever-pulsating elements of nature ceaselessly prevail.
