Rockwave Nights: Opeth

Nine years after their last performance in Athens, the most important Swedish progressive metal exponents, Opeth, will share the stage with the pioneers of modern progressive rock, Leprous, at Rockwave Nights!

The concert will take place on July 3, 2024, at the Municipal Theatre of Lycabettus in central Athens.

Opeth is a progressive metal rock band from Stockholm, formed in 1990. Apart from the progressive element, the band incorporates folk, blues, classical and jazz elements in their usually lengthy compositions, as well as displaying strong death metal influences, especially in their early works.

Over the past two decades, Leprous have created some of the deepest and most exciting music imaginable, steadily evolving from their beginnings as exuberant progressive metal explorers to their current position as one of the most unique bands in modern heavy music.
