On the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the birth of Maria Callas, the Symphony Orchestra and the Choir of the Municipality of Athens present a tribute concert to the great diva of lyrical singing.
Arias and excerpts from operas that Maria Callas performed, both musically and stage-wise, in her own unique way, are presented in this tribute, with the collaboration of three distinguished lyric singers, conducted by the Italian conductor Sebastiano Rolli.
Excerpts from works by Verdi, Gluck, Kerubini, Mascagni, Mozart, Bellini, Beethoven, Donizetti, Puccini, Rossini will be performed.
