Oé Oé!! Songs on board

The Castle of Lamia hosts Oé Oé!! Songs on Board, on 17 and 18 July 2026, as part of All of Greece, One Culture 2026.

Five very different performers climb up to the patari (a kind of mezzanine level) of a house, each carrying their own personal "sound" and story. As they try to share the small platform, they create a musical free-for-all of traditional, rock, rap and classical music – disagreeing, competing, pushing and squeezing – until they finally find common ground in the songs of their childhood, the ones that shaped them.

They dress these songs in the music each performer represents and decorate them with their own personal stories and memories, creating a wild concert that becomes a journey back to their early years.

The new production by Patari Project is a musical performance that is full of humour – blending classical, traditional, rock and rap music – in which the children of yesterday meet the children of today. It shows, above all, that to survive in the world (or on a shared platform), people must listen, coexist and learn.

All of Greece, One Culture is the landmark initiative of Greece's Ministry of Culture, now in its seventh year, bringing performances to archaeological sites, monuments and museums across the country.
