A day at the Alekos Fassianos Museum

The Alekos Fassianos Museum opens its doors to residents and visitors of Athens on May 19 with free admission from 11:00 to 15:00 as part of the This is Athens - City Festival 2024.

The museum's permanent exhibition aims to introduce the full breadth of celebrated artist Alekos Fassianos' work, from 1954 until the end of his life. In addition to the paintings, the exhibition highlights Fassianos' multifaceted personality, presenting handmade objects, furniture and lighting, as well as texts he wrote, books he illustrated and a rich archive of his involvement in set and costume design for Aristophanes' comedies and Eugene Ionesco's plays.

The Alekos Fassianos Museum is just one of many exhibitions that are part of the This is Athens - City Festival 2024.
