At the end of the New Year's Eve festive season, the Athens State Orchestra presents an "Opera Night". Arias, duetti and orchestral excerpts from operas and operettas by Rossini, Donizetti, Gounod, Mascagni, Verdi, Bizet, Suppé, Strauss, Lehar.
Some of the immortal, popular melodies of opera and operetta are performed by three lyrical artists under the baton of the chief conductor, Romanos Papazoglou.
