This year's 5th edition of the Athens International Film Festival for Children and Adolescents hosts 100 short and feature films from 34 countries, which reflect the reality and the richness of the cultures of modern society. As every year, the Festival programme has equal representation of male and female filmmakers and tells stories of inclusion, breaking down stereotypes, environmental awakening, digital consciousness.

In this year's festival programme, stand out:
- The "Our Neighbourhood" tribute with films that open a window into the everyday life, joys, adventures and challenges of children and young people in the Mediterranean and South-Eastern European countries close to Greece.
- Kids' Picks & Teens' Picks.
- Environment: for another year, the Festival is delivering on its commitment to bring the next generation closer to the vital importance of the environment and its ecosystems through the power of cinema.
- Live Performance: a magical experience that combines film screening with live actor performance on stage.
- Universally accessible screenings for all: In collaboration with TheHappyAct, Liminal and HandsUp, Festival audiences will watch films adapted for people on the autism spectrum, with Greek Sign Language interpretation and SDH subtitles for deaf and hard of hearing people and audio description for people with visual impairments.
- Educational workshop for parents: This year, the Festival is organizing a special workshop for parents, opening the discussion about when we start setting boundaries, how we communicate them, how they affect the child's character and behavior.

Festival-goers can gain valuable experience through favourite sections such as: Small for Small, Digital Etiquette, Night Fright, Vivid Friends, Live Transcription, Around the World in 80 Minutes and more. For the very youngest Festival fans, Baby & Me returns to the specially designed area of the Megaron, while the lively playroom in the foyer of Dimitris Mitropoulos Hall will be flooded with colours and music. There, we will also attend two wonderful concerts with the participation of the students of the Athens Conservatory.
