Mt Olympus 2 Days Hike

<p>Mount Olympusis the highest mountain in Greece, located in northern Greece comprising a natural boundary between the prefectures of Macedonia and Thessaly. Mount Olympus’ highest point is thesummit of Mytikasat 2,918 m. Since ancient times, Mt. Olympus has proved a difficult crossing point for numerous aspiring conquerors of the Greek territory. It is a place of divine beauty, notable in Greek mythology as home of the Greek Gods. Its proximity to the coastline overlooking the Aegean Sea offers breathtaking views. The characteristic silvery mist that engulfs the mountain creates a unique atmosphere. 1938 it was declaredGreece’s first National Park<strong></strong>due to its exceptional biodiversity and rich flora.</p><p><br></p><p>On our 2 Days Hike Olympus tour, we will hike through this monumental natural landscape. Thickly forested slopes and steep rocky and cloud-covered peaks, host more than 1,500 plant species, some of them rare and endemic, as well as wolves, jackals, deer, and some endangered bird and butterfly species. The mountain is uninhabited, however, there are 4 organized mountain huts (In our tour we will stay atSpilios Agapitosmountain hut) offering shelter and food to its visitors, that stream from all over the world to admire its beauties.It has an extensive network of trails, its total length exceeding 160 km. The 2 days/ 1 night Mt. Olympus tour is also offered on asemi-guidedbasis for more experienced hikers.</p>

Hike the Menalon Trail, Guided Tour

<p>"Hike the Menalon Trail" guided tour is a<strong>7 day village to village</strong>fully guided hiking tour<strong>75 km/45 miles long.</strong></p><p><br></p><p>The<strong>Menalon Trail</strong>is a long mountain trail in<strong>Arcadia</strong>, in the center of<strong>Peloponnese</strong>, that unfolds through the Lousios River gorge, the western slopes of Mt. Menalo, the Valley of Mylaon River and the Northeast Gortynian Mountains. It is incorporated in the prizewinning programme<strong>“Greek Paths of Culture”</strong>of the ELLINIKI ETAIRIA – Society for the Environment and Cultural Heritage. The program aims to give new life to paths of particular natural beauty and historical importance, all over the country, stimulating local communities with an important factor of sustainable development, that of hiking tourism.</p><p><br></p><p>The program begins in the village of<strong>Stemnitsa</strong>which can be reached either via Kalamata International Airport (78 km / 1 hour and 30 minutes) or Athens International Airport (226 km / 2 hours and 40 minutes) and ends in the village of Lagadia.</p>

Pelion: Rib Cruise Venetos Caves

<p>We sail near beautiful bays and coastlines east of the mountains of Mavrovounio and North Pelion. On our way to visit the Caves of Venetos, with its crystal clear blue-green waters and wild beauty,we will pass by Asprovracho and Milos Glymeni beach, where the old mine lays. We will go cave snorkeling in the Cave of Aegeus where, according to the legend, the marriage of Peleus and Thetis, parents of Achilles, took place. Half a mile away we will enjoy a swim on a lonely beach from where we will take the path to the monastery of Flabouri. On our way back, late in the afternoon, we will make a stop for coffee in Kamari and then we will return to the port of Agiokampos.</p>
