Description

A unique hiking adventure on Mount Zireia that blends myth, nature, and history. Our trail begins at the Zireia Ski Center with the first stop at the legendary Hermes Cave, believed to be the birthplace of the messenger god. We then hike through the dense fir forests of Varnevo, where the natural scenery offers peace and a true escape.

As we ascend, the landscape opens up to the impressive Zireia plateau – an alpine treasure with pastures, earthy tones, and breathtaking views of the peaks and surrounding mountains. From there, we descend into the enchanting Flampouritsa Valley, a Natura 2000 protected area rich in streams, plane trees, and diverse flora and fauna – a paradise for nature lovers. The circular hike ends back at the Ski Center.
