Athens Sea Kayak Tour to the Temple of Poseidon

<p>We pick you up from your hotel in Athens and drive along the Athenian Coast, enjoying marvelous sea views. We leave the city behind us driving through the beautiful Mediterranean landscapes until we reach the beach of Cape Sounion. Here we get ready for an amazing sea kayak experience. After our equipment check and safety briefing, our tour is ready to begin. We paddle along the coast and enjoy the crystal clear waters, mighty cliffs and hidden caves.</p> <p>Our first stop is in the island of Archi or on one of the beaches of Legrena for a swim and refreshing snack. Having refueled our energy we continue to Cape Sounion and the Temple of Poseidon. The temple is truly breathtaking even from sea level. Our tour also includes a visit to the Temple of Poseidon. We end this great day with a delicious Greek meal at a Greek tavern.</p>

Easy Hiking Tour around Ancient Lindos

<p>The hike starts inVlycha, a sea side village located close to Lindos, on the East coast of Rhodes. Setting off on this trail and following mainly dirt roads, weleave behind us the buzz of the busy road and head towards the west. Soon enough we walk underneath old pine trees, the survival of which on this dry rocky land around Lindos is clearly miraculous.</p> <p>Our trail passes on the foothill of impressive vertical limestone slopes. We will then visit an impressive cave and admire the remains ofabandoned agricultural life. Finally, the hike takes us to its highest point from where we can enjoy the magnificent views! It is time for some memorable pictures of the“Navarone Bay”,with its azure colored water or just a few moments to take in the absolute beauty of the big blue! Heading down hill, we will take a first glimpse of the hill where theAcropolis of Lindosproudly stands. No words are enough to describe its beauty.We will have the chance to go closer, and explore the narrow streets of the whitewashed village of Lindos. Some free time will be available for a visit tothe Archeological site. Then we hike back to Vlycha from a different route.</p> <p>The tour operates every Tuesday and any other date upon request.</p>

Vikos Gorge Hike

<p>Vikos Gorgeis part of the 12,600 hectareVikos-Aoos National Parkand has been listed in the Guinness book of records as thedeepest canyon worldwidein proportion to its width.It is definitely a spectacular sight! It is accessible from several points, including the gravity-defying cliff-face monastery ofAgia Paraskeviat its southern end and the ridge-top village ofVikosat the other. The landscape of the 20 km long gorge is extremely diverse and is characterized by abrupt changes in altitude. The Vikos Gorge has been carved over millions of years by theVoidomatis River,a tributary of the Aoös River. As it splits the mountain in half, its slopes expose rock formations oflimestone and dolomite, dating back to 150 million years . Its vertical cliffs rise up to a height of 1700 meters.</p>

Meteora: Hiking Tour to the Monasteries

<p>Enjoy the unique views from the top of the rocks and learn by our professional mountain guides about the history and the geological significance of the area.</p><p>OurHiking Meteora tour<strong></strong>starts from St. Nicolas Monastery in Kastraki village, following the same old paths the monks used, which wind their way amongst the tall rock-towers.</p><p>We pass beneath the ruined monastery of Pantocrator on the north side of the rock of Dupiani. Then the path takes us to the heart of the lush forest reaching the abandoned and restored Monastery of “Ypapanti” and the ruins of St. Dimitrios. Afterwards, our trail turns uphill. A short walk leads us to the cliff top monasteries Varlaam and Great Meteoro where we visit one of them.</p><p>We then walk downhillto Kastraki through the rocks by the ancient path used by the monks, passing next to the cave of St. George Mandila, where every year climbers hang their scarves.</p>

Mt Olympus 2 Days Hike

<p>Mount Olympusis the highest mountain in Greece, located in northern Greece comprising a natural boundary between the prefectures of Macedonia and Thessaly. Mount Olympus’ highest point is thesummit of Mytikasat 2,918 m. Since ancient times, Mt. Olympus has proved a difficult crossing point for numerous aspiring conquerors of the Greek territory. It is a place of divine beauty, notable in Greek mythology as home of the Greek Gods. Its proximity to the coastline overlooking the Aegean Sea offers breathtaking views. The characteristic silvery mist that engulfs the mountain creates a unique atmosphere. 1938 it was declaredGreece’s first National Park<strong></strong>due to its exceptional biodiversity and rich flora.</p><p><br></p><p>On our 2 Days Hike Olympus tour, we will hike through this monumental natural landscape. Thickly forested slopes and steep rocky and cloud-covered peaks, host more than 1,500 plant species, some of them rare and endemic, as well as wolves, jackals, deer, and some endangered bird and butterfly species. The mountain is uninhabited, however, there are 4 organized mountain huts (In our tour we will stay atSpilios Agapitosmountain hut) offering shelter and food to its visitors, that stream from all over the world to admire its beauties.It has an extensive network of trails, its total length exceeding 160 km. The 2 days/ 1 night Mt. Olympus tour is also offered on asemi-guidedbasis for more experienced hikers.</p>
