A half-day boat trip from Sifnos to wonderful and picturesque Antiparos & Despotiko islands
<p>We depart from the dock of <strong>Platis Gialos</strong> and head northeast. We see some of the south beaches of the island such as <strong>Chryssopigi, Apokofto</strong> and the 3 beaches of <strong>Faros</strong>. Once we pass Faros, we head East.</p><p><br></p><p>Approximately 10NM on our way to <strong>Antiparos </strong>we reach <strong>Strogilli</strong>, the first small island (uninhabited) of Antiparos complex. Next we arrive at <strong>Despotiko </strong>the second small island of Antiparos with the long sandy beach <strong>Livadi </strong>and the crystal clear blue waters. Many consider Livadi one of the most beautiful beaches in Cyclades so we can stop and swim as much as we like. We then depart for the Southwest shore of Antiparos and arrive in the area of <strong>Epitafios</strong>, the rocky, volcanic area of the island and we visit the impressive Seal’s Cave. </p><p><br></p><p>It is now time to cruise north and enter the Despotiko- Antiparos strait; we definitely visit <strong>Agios Georgios</strong> with the most impressive beaches <strong>Kako Rema, Ai Giorgis</strong> or <strong>Plakakia</strong>. We will find many taverns in Agios Georgios, such as the famous <strong>Pipinos </strong>where we can have lunch.</p><p><br></p><p>On our way back, we pass by the small islet <strong>Tsimintiri</strong>, between Antiparos and Despotiko. After about 15 NM we return to the bay of Platis Gialos.</p><p><br></p><p> <strong>During the trip, we offer water and refreshments. A full-day boat trip from Sifnos to beautiful and authentic Folegandros island
<p>Duration: 6-7 hours </p><p>Total Distance: 50 Nautical Miles</p><p><br></p><p>We exit the bay of<strong>Platis Gialos</strong>and head southeast. After about 17 nautical miles we arrive at<strong>Folegandros.</strong>Our first stop is the<strong>beach of Agios Georgios</strong>,a quiet little port where we can swim in the crystal-clear, green waters. We then head to the southern beaches of Folegandros –<strong>Ambeli </strong>and<strong> </strong>then<strong>Livadaki</strong>,until arriving at the bay of<strong>Vathi</strong>,where we see two more famous beaches,<strong>Agios Nikolaos</strong>and then<strong>Agkali</strong>,<strong> </strong>where we can swim, have a coffee and enjoy Folegandros’ clear waters.</p><p> </p><p>About 3-4 miles from Agkali, we arrive at the best beach of the island and one of the most popular in the Cyclades,<strong>Katergo (the galley).</strong>You can see the seabed even at a depth of 10 meters! And there is a small island you can climb onto and dive from into the sea. Katergo is inaccessible by car or other means and the only way to get there is by boat from the nearby <strong>Karavostassi</strong>, Folegandros’ main port.</p><p><br></p><p>After Katergo, we pass the southern cape of Folegandros and arrive to Karavostassi for a long stop. We disembark and take a local bus and visit the<strong>Chora</strong>of Folegandros. It is a village known as <strong>“small Santorini”</strong>,amphitheatrically built high above the Aegean Sea. It’s a true princess of the Aegean.</p><p><br></p><p>It is worth taking a walk through the streets and enjoying the traditional houses and tavernas. If you are not tired, you can visit <strong>Panagia of Folegandros</strong>,the island’s famous monastery and enjoy the view. A full day boat trip from Sifnos to traditional Kimolos and beautiful Milos
<p>Departing from the dock of <a><strong>Platis Gialos</strong></a>, in southern Sifnos, we head southwest and after about 8 nautical miles, arrive at our first magnificent beach of Kimolos island, <strong>Prassa</strong>, whose white sand comes from the surrounding chalk quarries. </p><p><br></p><p>Sailing north, we marvel the black pebbles of small <strong>Geronikola beach </strong>and continue to the bay of <strong>Soufi </strong>to swim in the calm clear waters there. When it is time to leave, we head to the southern side of Kimolos and, after about 3 nautical miles, arrive at the port of Kimolos, <strong>Psatha</strong>, where we stop for coffee.</p><p><br></p><p>Continuing beyond the southwest coast of Kimolos, we reach Milos and the port of <strong>Pollonia</strong>, after which we arrive at the islets of <strong>Kalogiroi</strong>, with their <strong>magnificent basalt rocks</strong> in the form of <strong>big hexagon prisms</strong>. We then head southwest to the impressive <strong>bay of Papafragas</strong>, a huge <strong>natural swimming pool</strong> with an enormous cave carved out of the cliff side. After Papafragas, we head southwest and arrive at the <strong>Navagio (Shipwreck</strong>). Here, we can swim and see the remains of and old iron shipwreck.</p><p><br></p><p>Our next stop is the<strong> magnificent beach of Sarakiniko</strong>, one of the most photographed landscapes of Milos. We can swim in the deep waters, dive off the tall, <strong>grey-white cliffs compared to a moonscape</strong>, and enjoy the famous fjords, before returning to Sifnos.</p><p><br></p><p>* <strong>During the trip, we offer water and refreshments. A half-day boat trip from Sifnos to uninhabited and natura environment protected, Poliegos
<p>Departing from the dock of Platis Gialos, in southern Sifnos, we head southwest and, after 8 nautical miles, reach the uninhabited island of Poliegos. If the weather is appropriate, we stop at the Cave of Fanara, with crystal-clear, blue water and the beautiful colours on its volcanic rock walls.</p><p><br></p><p>We then head south and soon enter the bay of Faros. There we can admire the much-photographed lighthouse of Poliegos, built in 1898.We can swim in the bay and enjoy the waters as well as the small lake on the island that attracts wild goats.</p><p><br></p><p>We then head to the southern end of the island and enter the bay Kalogeroi. There are white and pink pebbles and beautiful rocks surrounding the bay and within the bay are the ruins of old mines.</p><p><br></p><p>Heading west, we see rocks in the shape of sailboats and enter the caves with the boat. Finally, visit the beach of Mirsini where we can swim in the crystal-clear and always calm waters.</p><p><br></p><p>* <strong>During the trip, we offer water and refreshments. A half-day boat trip in southern Sifnos
<p>Leaving from the bay ofPlatis Gialoson the south coast of Sifnos, your boat trip heads southwest around the cape of<strong>Kontou</strong> and arrives at <strong>Fykiada</strong>,<strong></strong>where you will be able to swim. To the left, you can see the small church of<strong>Agios Georgios</strong>. Leaving Fykiada, we return past Platis Gialos and reach the bay of<strong>Apokofto</strong>and<strong>Chryssopigi</strong>,<strong></strong>where you can visit the most famous monastery of<strong>Sifnos</strong>. Panagia Chryssopigi is the protector of the island and site of Sifnos’ famous festival (panigyri) 40 days after Easter.</p><p><br></p><p>After Chryssopigi, we continue east and visit the bays of<strong>Faros</strong>and the three beaches of<strong>Fassolou</strong>, Faros and<strong>Glyfo</strong>. We will see the old mines and can swim at each of these beaches. Then we head straight to<strong>Kastro</strong>(the castle), the first capital of Sifnos which was first inhabited in prehistoric times. Kastro is built on a rock and the construction resembles that of a fortress, hence the name. As we leave Kastro and the beach<strong>Seralia</strong>,<strong></strong>we head north and reach the bay of<strong>Dialiskari</strong>,<strong></strong>with the monastery of<strong>Poulati</strong>rightabove it.<strong></strong>We can swim in the crystal clear waters and visit the monastery before heading back.</p><p><br></p><p>* <strong>During the trip, we offer water and refreshments. A boat trip from Sifnos to spectacular Poliegos and traditional Kimolos
<p>Departing from the dock of Platis Gialos, in southern Sifnos, we head southwest through the strait of Kitriani and continue for approximately 8 nautical miles until we reach the uninhabited island of Poliegos. </p><p><br></p><p>Entering the bay of Faros, we admire the famous and much photographed lighthouse of Poliegos, built in 1898 at about 130 meters above sea level. We can swim in the bay and enjoy the turquoise waters, with big white stones on the seabed and beautifully colored rocks and pebbles around it, as well as a small lake that attracts wild goats. We then head to the southern end of Poliegos and enter the bay Kalogeroi, stopping to swim in the amazing waters.</p><p><br></p><p>After approximately two nautical miles, we head northwest and arrive at the beach of Mirsini, where you can swim again. The water here is crystal-clear and always calm and you can relax with views of Kimolos island.</p><p><br></p><p>We then cruise northwest towards the port of Kimolos, known as Psathi or Psatha. A stop there is recommended if you wish to enjoy a coffee or have lunch. We then depart from port of Kimolos and head northeast to beaches like Goupa Kara, Agios Minas and Prassa, considered the most beautiful in Kimolos.</p>
