Description
Traditional apartments on a hillside overlooking Archanes & Youhtas sacred mountain.
This original Cretan mansion was built in 1890 and was renovated during 2000 and 2015. The foundations of this old house, its stone walls (60-80cm thick), its frame and woodwork have remained intact. We have tried to respect and preserve the architectural arrangement of the apartments and all other spaces using old building materials to obtain all the amenities that are necessary for a comfortable accommodation, attractively restored into just 6 exclusive apartments.
An alternative proposal of vacation, for people showing sensitivity for nature, relaxation, exercise, nutrition with pure local products, entertainment and communication with the local people, and time for reflection.

29.07.2024This is a wonderful place to stay and off the beaten track. The setting is wonderful, in an old farmhouse which has been sympathetically converted into a few rooms with a delightful pool. The room which we stayed at was actually a space with a separate living space with kitchen area, a bedroom and a mezzanine additional bed. Very comfortable bed and aircon throughout, which was most welcome. The Villa is towards the top of Archanes so it's quite a steep walk down to the centre of town, and a leg stretching walk back up, but absolutely worth it.

03.09.2024Villa Archanes was incredible! We had a last-minute emergency with our other hotel and had nowhere to stay. They responded to us in the late evening and were able to accommodate us. The rooms were spotless, the exterior is a dream, and the staff was friendly. Would recommend 100%!!

16.04.2024First breakfast in Greece! What a great spread! I can feel the pounds adding up. But hey I’m retired! This is a great hotel in a super nice village. It has my stamp of approval and I highly recommend it!

18.05.2024A wonderful place to stay. The owner was very friendly and helpful. He also makes the best raki that we had on the island. Rooms were traditional villa style and with a lot of character. Great breakfast by the pool. Very good restaurants near by.
