Chania: Olive Oil & Wine Tasting Tour by Anoskeli

In the heart of the picturesque village of Anoskeli, just 30km form the center of Chania, we operate our family olive mill, bottling facility, boutique winery and a visitor’s reception area. We are proud that Anoskeli Winery is one of the first members of the “Wines of Crete” that aims to promote Cretan wineries and their wines.

Our facilities are accessible by road, a 40-minute drive from Chania city center (no bus connection) towards Kissamos, following the direction towards Palaiochora. Throughout the road there are sings leading to the “Olive Mill – Winery Anoskeli”.

In our freshly refurbished reception area, including an indoor tasting room and outdoor terrace in the peaceful surrounds of olive trees and vineyards, we offer guided tasting sessions, structured upon the two cornerstones of the Cretan diet, our nutritional olive oils and our local wines.

Our tasting sessions are led by experienced in-house sommeliers, and include tasting of a selection of premium wines of our own production
and our multi-awarded olive oils, accommodated by a selection of Cretan delicacies. During the tasting sessions our sommeliers will take you through the different types of olive oils and their unique characteristics, the grape varieties cultivated by our winery, the tasting notes of each wine label and food pairing options.

Visitors have the opportunity to watch our very own documentary on our olive oil production process. Our tasting packages include complimentary tours to our olive mill including a description of all stages of olive oil production, from cultivation to harvest and from production to bottling.
