The Hellenic Mountaineering Club of Kavala will hold the Paggaio Trail Run on Sunday 7 May, with races covering 27km (Paggaio Trail Run 27) and 10km (Paggaio Trail Run 10) for less experienced mountain runners.
The event offers an opportunity for participants to combine physical exercise with an escape into nature on one of Greece’s most unexplored and mythical mountains (the god of wine, Dionysus, was worshipped there in antiquity) just 40 minutes from Kavala in northern Greece.
The Paggaio Trail Run programme for 2023:

Paggaio Trail Run 27 (PTR 27): Starts and finishes in the village of Domatia, located in the foothills of Paggaio at an altitude of 150 meters. The route is a mountain road of approximately 27km, with 21km on trails and 6km on forest paths, including a few meters of asphalt. The race is ideal for experienced mountain runners.

Paggaio Trail Run 10 (PTR 10): Perfect for less experienced mountain runners, with a route that is approximately 10km and entirely on trails and forest paths with a few meters of asphalt. The race also starts and finishes in the village of Domatia at an altitude of 150 meters.
