New Life

The theatrical performance "New Life" directed by Antonis Antonopoulos is part of the Ministry of Culture’s “All of Greece, One Culture 2023" programme, which this year is dedicated to the environment.

Description

In Larissa, in an ancient theatre between modern apartment buildings, in a place where the past and the present necessarily coexist, a new life will be created. Starting with music, dance and the poetry of Nobel Laureate Giorgos Seferis, a celebration will be held. Through repetitive dance patterns, drawing inspiration from pop culture, Greek tradition and Walt Disney's animation, a renaissance ceremony will be created in a place where time is equalized. Five people will meet. They will wait. A sixth will come and be welcomed. They will say goodbye and resurrect him. In the darkness they will dance together. Nature will die and rise again. Ticket Details

The event is implemented in the framework of the institution "All of Greece, One Culture 2023" by the Ministry of Culture and is offered free of charge. Only the entrance fee of the archaeological site, where applicable, is paid.
