Description

Our hotel is a unique place for three reasons

The first one is its traditional character, according to the special characteristics of the Traditional Architecture of Oia. We desire to keep all the characteristics without altering the initial form. All the renovations and improvements in the interior of the houses are made with respect to its initial structure and function. This way, are combined the experience of living in a traditional cavehouse, with all the comforts of a modern hotel. The built beds are combined with luxurious mattresses and textiles; the minimal decoration is integrated with the modern, wooden furniture, the built baths of traditional shape made with modern materials.

The second one is the location of our hotel. Our hotel is located next to the Castle of Oia, on the Caldera, with its entrance in the central pedestrian street of Oia. This is the area of the island where all the travelers want to visit in order to enjoy the well-known sunset. Our visitors have the privilege to enjoy the sunset from the terrace of our hotel. At the same time, our hotel offers the privacy and calmness needed to enjoy at any time the view to Caldera from your own private terrace or the communal yard.

The third one, and the most important for us, is our intention to feel the visitor comfortably hosted with all the characteristics of the Greek hospitality. We welcome you with local Vinsanto wine and with the exclusively Greek products of our breakfast. The personnel of the hotel is always on your disposal to help you and to make your stay comfort and pleasant.

We offer to our visitors everything we have promised in order to feel like home!

Be mindful that disabled, elderly, small children, and people with fear of heights will have difficulty staying here. The staff was friendly and kind enough to carry our luggage down the super scary steep stairs and deliver breakfast to the room in the morning. Unfortunately, housekeeping forgot to make up the room or even leave fresh towels. The manager was responsive and had towels delivered immediately. In addition to the stairs situation (because you haven't climbed enough the last 7 days), we were woken to loud banging on the pipes in the middle of the night. Which probably fixed the lack of hot water the prior evening at the cost of our rest. If I would have known about the stairs situation, I never would have selected this location to avoid the additional anxiety.

Spectacular views from the hotel!! Great location, great rooms and excellent service!! Mike and Antonio are super helpful and friendly. Cannot say enough about the location! Right next to Oia Castle with amazing views of sunset. Hotel juts out on a cliff and offers great views of the blue domed churches. No need to go anywhere if you didn’t want to. Simply amazing!!

Excellent views over the ocean and OIA South cliffs, noise from the busy streets of OIA disappears as you decend the steps to the rooms that are carved into the rock of the South Cliffs. Whatever the owners pay Nikolas its not enough he and George do everything from meeting you off the bus form the airport and carrying your bags to the room to fixing the toaster. They also clean and making up the rooms when your out and about regardless of when that might be. Very nice and friendly too.
