Release Athens returns from June 7 to July 27 for the biggest concert event of the summer.
An unexpected collaboration brings a whole new dynamic to this year’s festival, with the creation of two simultaneous stages, one at Nero (Water) Square in Kallithea and the other at the nearby Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center (SNFCC). So for 20-23 June, Release Athens will become Release Athens x SNF Nostos Festival .
With many concerts scheduled, some of the headliners of this year's Release Athens are:
- Helloween: One of the most influential bands born out of the metal explosion of the 80s.
- Rosalía: The ultimate pop icon with one of the best performances of its kind in the last five years.
- Arctic Monkeys: One of the biggest names on the world music scene of the last 20 years.
- Prodigy: The number one electronic music act in Europe.
- Wu-Tang Clan: The most iconic hip-hop band of all time.
On the days when concerts are scheduled for both stages (at Nero Square and the Xefoto of the SNFCC), the performances of the two headliners will not coincide, leaving sufficient time to get from one stage to the other.
