Now in its fourth year, the Evia Film Project returns from 17 to 21 June 2025, bringing screenings, masterclasses, music and educational activities to Agia Anna, Edipsos and Limni in North Evia. Organised by the Thessaloniki Film Festival, the initiative highlights the region’s post-wildfire regeneration efforts, with a strong focus on environmental sustainability and the relationship between people and nature.
The programme includes a diverse mix of Greek and international films – both fiction and documentary – along with open-air screenings by the sea, industry panels, children’s workshops and guided nature walks. A dedicated “green” strand explores the climate crisis and ecological themes through cinema, while musical performances add to the atmosphere of summer revival.
More than just a film event, the Evia Film Project is part of an ongoing cultural, ecological and social dialogue – positioning cinema as a tool for healing and transformation in one of Greece’s most scenic but impacted landscapes.
