The summer-long cultural initiative All of Greece One Culture returns for a sixth consecutive year, running from July 1 to August 31 across archaeological sites, monuments and museums throughout the country.
Organised by the Greek Ministry of Culture, this year’s theme – The perception of the past: Today as tomorrow and yesterday – is inspired by the poetic work of Andreas Embiricos, a key figure in Greek literature and a pioneer of surrealism in Greece. Embiricos’ writing explored the fluidity of time and reality, making him a fitting reference for a programme that invites audiences to reconsider how the past informs both the present and future.
The initiative presents site-specific performances of theatre, music, dance and visual arts, created in dialogue with their settings – from ancient theatres, fortresses and monasteries to mosques, Byzantine museums and mansions. In 2025, more than 70 events will take place at over 40 locations, highlighting Greece’s monuments as living spaces for contemporary artistic expression.
