Itinerary

  1. DANILIA – THE VILLAGE THAT BECAME A LIVING SET : A village that feels as if it has stepped straight out of the 1930s. Danilia became the “Durrell village,” where countless everyday scenes were filmed: strolls, market visits, encounters with locals, and the carefree moments shared by Louisa and Spiros. Among the colorful façades, wooden shutters, and stone-built squares, time seems to stand still — as though you’ve walked directly into the world of the series.
  2. VLACHERNA MONASTERY – THE SYMBOL OF THE DURRELLS’ CORFU : Perhaps the most iconic landscape of the series. Vlacherna captures the light, serenity, and beauty that enchanted the Durrell family. Scenes highlighting the island’s natural charm and gentle isolation were filmed here — the image of the tiny islet with its monastery became synonymous with the “Durrells’ paradise.”
  3. OLD FORTRESS & MOAT – THE CORFU OF HISTORY AND LEGEND : With its imposing stone walls and panoramic views over the Ionian Sea, the Old Fortress offered the series a backdrop filled with drama and mystery.
