Meet your host and settle into a warm, welcoming space where the story of Greek olive oil begins to unfold. Your guided experience starts with an introduction to the world of extra virgin olive oil—its history, significance in Greek culture, and the secrets behind its quality and taste.
You’ll sample five different varieties, using the method of organoleptic testing. Clear tasting glasses allow you to appreciate the oils’ vibrant color, while your expert host guides you through each one’s unique flavor profile—peppery, fruity, grassy, or mild—sharing insights about the olive varieties, harvest techniques, and production methods that shape them.
To complement the tasting, you’ll enjoy fresh bread and slices of green apple, chosen to gently reset your palate between samples. A small tasting plateau with local olives, cherry tomatoes, and seasonal delights offers an additional glimpse into the richness of Greek land and tradition.
