Contemporary dance returns to Kalamata this summer, as the city's flagship cultural event – and one of Greece's most important dance festivals – is back for its 32nd edition, running 17 to 26 July 2026.
Built around the magic of movement, the Kalamata International Dance Festival brings together artists, dance lovers and bold new ideas in one lively meeting point. Since 1995, it has helped shape and grow the contemporary dance scene in Greece, spotlighting works that reveal just how expressive – and poetic – the human body can be.
This year's edition leans further into inclusivity and fresh collaboration, with leading Greek and international artists presenting their work across a packed line-up of performances, touring exhibitions, workshops, seminars and more.
