Itinerary

  1. Whether you are staying in Mykonos, the neighbouring Tinos or arriving by cruise ship, this sailing yacht cruise is the definitive way to experience the Aegean. In a single day, you will explore the islands of Delos and Rhenia —two of Greece's most sacred and historic sites— making it the undisputed highlight of any vacation itinerary.
  2. After you reach the embarkation point and meet us at the sailing yacht (pick-up transfer service is optional and available upon your request, after booking) one of our cruise representatives and crew will greet you and give you an overview of the cruise itinerary and a safety briefing.
  3. We lift the anchors from Mykonos and sail across the Aegean toward the uninhabited islet of Rhenia, also known as "Big Delos". Along the way, you may also spot - just 10 nautical miles away - the Island of Tinos, adding to the stunning Cycladic scenery.
  4. After approximately 1 hour sailing, we reach Rhenia, which is accessible only via yacht, making it a small secluded paradise compared to the crowded beaches of Mykonos. The refreshing turquoise salty waters are inviting you for a relaxing swim entering the clear sea by the yacht swimming ladder (pier facilities or tendering ashore are not available). Snorkeling gear is available on board for free use at your convenience.
  5. On board early-dinner is ready. It is either a specially made Italian pasta with Greek flavored dressing instantly cooked on board & Greek salad or a Mediterranean style buffet and juicy seasonal fruits. A selection of complimentary house wine, beers and soft drinks are also offered.
  6. After spending approximately 2 hours in the untouched islet of Rhenia, the next stop is the UNESCO-listed Island of Delos, one of the most important and sacred archaeological sites in Greek history. Immerse yourself on a self-guided Virtual Tour with the 3D Web App in your own device, crafted by archaeologists and available in 9 audio languages (English, French, Spanish, German, Greek, Italian, Polish, Russian, Portuguese).
  7. Delos island was a major commercial and religious center of the Mediterranean with about 30.000 inhabitants between 2.500 and 69 BC. At disposal about 1 hour to explore leisurely - with the 3D Web App at your preferred language - the main remarkable monuments and impressive mosaics of Delos as they were in antiquity, such as the Terrace of the Lions, the House of Dionysus and Trident, the Ancient Theatre and the Sanctuary of Apollo.
  8. We are ready to sail back to Mykonos by watching the breathtaking landscape of yellow, orange and red colours while the sun goes down in the very blue Aegean Sea. We will say goodbye in the Greek way with a farewell shot drink toast and returning home full of euphoria for having shared with you our Greece, whose destiny is bound to the sea and sailing is the best way to experience it.
  9. *Due to weather conditions and operational reasons, provider reserves the right to alter the sailing route order without any previous notice

Good to know:

Mykonos is nicknamed “Island of Winds”. The Cyclades - the complex of islands where Mykonos belongs to - have been geographically shaped from the phenomenon of wind called “Meltemi”. Every summer the low barometric pressure from the Balkans clashes with the higher hot blasts from Africa and in this way the north wind of “Meltemi” is formed. Thus, the wind in Mykonos is completely normal and part of the lifestyle of both locals and visitors. It will ultimately leave its mark on your own Mykonos holiday album. According to the weather during the cruise, the selected beaches for swimming are the most protected ones and less windy. After all, this is also the experience of being on a sailing yacht, setting the sails to the wind needed as it is the primary engine power. Occasionally during the season there might not be enough wind or the convenient wind direction to set sails and only in such cases, the sailing route will be motorized.
