Athens: Private Historic Food Walk

You'll be led to hidden culinary gems that only locals know about: dedicated artisans who've perfected their recipes over decades and specialized food stores sourcing the best products from all over Greece. Old Athens doesn't announce itself — we take you there: to the souvlaki joint that never needed a rebrand, the tiropita shop where pies are still made by hand, the loukoumades that have been frying since 1930 and the historic kafekopteio where coffee is still a ceremony.

Same streets. Same recipes. Same Athens.

We will meet at the Arch of Hadrian, the symbolic gateway between ancient and modern Athens, then pass alongside the majestic Temple of Olympian Zeus. Strolling through the lush National Garden, we reach the Hellenic Parliament and the Monument to the Unknown Soldier, where the Evzones' changing of the guard brings history to life. From there, vibrant Syntagma Square leads us to the National Historical Museum (Old Parliament House), a landmark of Greek history. The tour concludes at the Central Market, where Athens cooks, shouts and reveals itself through taste — the perfect finale for a food lover exploring the authentic city behind the sights.
