Description
Located opposite the main port, the V Museum Corfu blends technology and history to offer an educational and entertaining experience for visitors of all ages.
At its heart is a 3D cinema that takes viewers on a sweeping journey through Corfu’s past, from mythology to the modern era, presenting key milestones in an engaging and interactive way. The museum also includes a multilingual audio system in 14 languages, using the same technology as the Louvre.
The audio tour lasts around 45–50 minutes and guides guests through the culture, folklore and traditions of Corfu with an emphasis on innovation, discovery and storytelling.
Highlights include a hologram of Ioannis Kapodistrias, the first Governor of modern Greece and a native of Corfu, who appears in 14 languages, as well as interactive folklore games that introduce local customs through play. Exhibits such as Corfiot cannons and 3D reconstructions of historic sites further bring the island’s heritage to life.
A dedicated section honours Nikolaos Mantzaros, the Corfiot composer of Greece’s National Anthem and founder of the historic Mantzaros Philharmonic Society. Uniforms, musical instruments and visual displays highlight the island’s deep musical traditions.
Serving schools, groups and independent travellers alike, the V Museum offers an immersive cultural experience that brings the story of Corfu into the present, where history becomes something you can see, hear and explore.
