Description

This neoclassical building in the heart of Athens, was built in 1905 by the famous Greek architect Lyssandros Kaftantzoglou (1811-1885).

A famed architect of his time, Lyssandros Kaftantzoglou was a member of the Academies of Rome, London, Milan, Lisbon, Vienna, and Venice among others. He was the creator of many buildings in Greece and abroad. Among his most important works in Athens are: The National Polytechnic on Patission Street, the Ophthalmiatric Clinic of Athens, the Arsakeion of Athens, the renovation and extension of the Church of Aghia Eirini, and others.

In 1995 the building was purchased by Giorgos and Lia Pagoni, who renovated it completely, under the supervision of the specialists of the Benaki Museum. The building became “Eponymo via Solonos”, a multibrand luxurious shop, which for more than twenty years, hosted the most important international fashion brands, such as Gianni Versace, Gianfranco Ferré, Alberta Ferretti, Karl Lagerfeld, Claude Montana, Thierry Mugler, Dsquared2, and many others.

Since June 2019, this neoclassical Athenian gem, houses the boutique hotel “33 Solonos Suites”.
It consists of 13 luxury apartments, beautifully furnished with simplicity and respect for the building’s preciousness and value.Feel the unique experience of relaxation in the most innovative urban suites of Kolonaki Athens. Contemporary technology allows your simple daily stay to become a successful living. In order to enter the hotel an exclusive code is required for each client. Using this specific code you can open the main door and enter the building. You can use the same code in order to open the lockers where you can find your room card. The hotel in a good place in athens, however, if you are looking for a confortable stay, or you are looking for a hotel for a work trip, this is not the best option that you can pick. The hotel has no reception, that means that if you have to request something, it will be via e-mail, with a huge delays to respond, im writing this comment while i have requested an invoice for my stay period in the hotel, they took 1 week to give me an incorrect invoice, after requesting a correct one they gave me another incorrect invoice (they did it twice) , no they are not responding to my emails. This was a simple request that most of 3 stars hotels does it automatically so you can imagine if you will have a problem in the room or something else.

We got a semi basement room and it was good. Very clean, great location. The only one downside was that the Internet was not the best in our room particularly. My friend stayed in other rooms and the internet was good. Beside that they respond very quick to any query you have on Wats app.

Beautiful rooms. The complimentary wine and breakfast snacks were a lovely touch. A little traffic noise in our room from the street but that did not bother us much as our room was lovely prepared with everything we wanted. The location is so good with so many nice restaurants nearby and great shopping
