Descripción

In the traditional village of Vothonas -Santorini, the Victoria Caves complex invites you to a uniquely designed, luxurious and relaxing environment for a memorable stay.
Escape from the uproarious and crowded center of the island and explore the most authentic experience Santorini has to offer. Re-live history as it was written in the traditional cave houses which were once used as wine cellars and patitiria (where the stomping of the grapes used to take place).
Carved in the volcanic rocks, each unit harmoniously combines tradition with modern design. Cozy indoor spaces with high quality wooden furniture, one to two bedrooms and outdoor jacuzzi/plunge pools, invite you to discover the enigma of the Aegean phos. The dazzling light that peeps out through the hill of Vothonas, the carved stone that reminds you of a lunar scenery in combination with the whitewashed houses comprise the very soul of this landscape.
Enjoy a once-in-a-lifetime experience!

We got the train to Settle then began a lovely long walk to the caves which were great and would definitely go again. All you need is a car or the train.

Lovely cave to see, though you can't get far inside as it's got a barrier. It's a short uphill walk up to the cave from the footpath on a mud/stone path.

What an amazing place. Me,my wife and our dogs were on a breakaway and went on a few walks and when we came across this walk up to the Victoria cave,it blew me and my wife Karen away. The views are spectacular, even with 4-5inches of snow, made it a little harder to climb to the top but the views and wild life alone on the way up,was amazing and the fly over from a tornado jet, just put the cherry on it. AMAZING place

Further exploration is requested by a polite sign to not venture past, due to fragility of formations. If. You've travelled a long way to see the cave, it may be a disappointment without going round the barrier. Expect wet, muddy and potentially very slippy Limestone. There are no grandiose formations, so unless your the adventurous type, you won't feel let down. *SPOILER ALERT* please don't look at all the pictures if you have more than a passing interest... See it for your self in your own perception 👍 Unfortunately further into the cave system there is littering... Some of it very old, some of it more recent. People... It weighed little enough for you to carry it into the Dales... It would have been far lighter to carry it back with you. PLEASE DO NOT LITTER. S

Was a lovely and peaceful walk. Was a little long for the kids but they managed it. And it was well worth the walk to see the caves. There is a small one first but if you keep walking there is another which is alot bigger. We loved looking at it. A little adventure. It's not pram accessible tho. There isnt much room to park but plenty on space on the side of the road We just parked a bit away and walked down. Lovley family day out
