Valena Mare Naxos

I recently stayed at this hotel and had an incredible experience from start to finish. The staff was exceptionally friendly and always willing to help with a smile. The room was spacious, clean, and beautifully decorated, with a very comfortable bed and a stunning view. The location is perfect – close to all the main attractions, but still quiet enough for a good night’s sleep. The amenities, including the pool were top-notch and made our stay even more enjoyable. I would absolutely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a relaxing and memorable stay. Can’t wait to come back!

This lovely little hotel has recently been taken over by new owners just a few months ago — and they are doing a fantastic job! The hosts are incredibly friendly and welcoming, always ready with helpful tips about the island, the local area, and great restaurant recommendations. While the rooms are a bit dated, they are very well maintained and absolutely spotless. You immediately feel at ease and at home here. The whole property is clean, tidy, and has a relaxed, inviting atmosphere. A great place to stay and explore Naxos!

The small boutique hotel Valena Mare allows you to enjoy the tranquility and proximity to the best beach on the island while feeling like you are in a natural environment. The accommodation is accessed via a dirt road that brings you closer to the beach area, which is only a 3-minute walk away. It has common areas, an outdoor dining area for breakfast, and a swimming pool with a small bar. There are no services in the surrounding area, so if you need to do some shopping or find a place to eat, you will need to take the car and head to the Plaka beach area where the restaurants are located, about a 5-minute drive away. In this area, you can find all kinds of restaurants and a small supermarket. The hotel rooms have a special charm, resembling a small cave. You have a terrace where you can relax, a small kitchen, and a spacious bathroom with amenities. The family that runs the hotel is very friendly and attentive to all your needs. Ioannis responds to WhatsApp messages within minutes and offers excellent dining recommendations. Breakfast is not buffet style, but they have an assortment of breads, jams, cold cuts, Greek yogurt with honey (delicious), fruit, juice, and coffee. There is not a wide variety, but in our case, we did not seek it, and I am sure that if we had requested it, Ioannis would have provided us with any additional food. The hotel exudes peace and allows you to completely disconnect. It is true that it needs some refurbishment and renovation, as some areas and parts of the room are somewhat deteriorated. We spent some incredible days at your place and we would confidently recommend it to couples who want to experience the beauty of the Greek islands away from the typical tourist hotspots. The atmosphere is incredibly peaceful and relaxing. Plaka beach is beautiful and quiet. If you’re heading to Naxos to relax and recharge, I can wholeheartedly recommend Valena Mare.

Beautiful rooms just steps from the beach, combining Cycladic style with comfort. Everything was clean, peaceful, and well organised. Giannis was welcoming, kind, and always helpful. A perfect spot to relax and experience the true spirit of the Greek islands. Highly recommended!
