Perfect Stay in Athens! Absolutely Loved the Pure Hotel **Rating: ★★★★★ (5/5)** My stay at Pure Hotel in Athens was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we arrived, the staff greeted us **always with a smile** and delivered **outstanding service**. Our room was **excellent**: modern, spotlessly clean, and thoughtfully designed. The **mattress was exceptionally comfortable**, ensuring a great night’s sleep after busy days exploring the city. We are visitors from the US. This hotel was easy to find & was very clean. The room was a little small & the bed was hard. We did enjoy the hot tub on the balcony though. Also, the staff wasn’t very friendly or helpful.

Excellent location. Room was a little small, but clean and quiet. Concierge was always available and helpful. Breakfast (included with the room) was ok. If I had paid for it, I would be disappointed but since it was included in the reasonably priced room, it was ok. Not all foods familiar to an American breakfast (as expected). Scrambled eggs, bread, Greek yogurt, coffee, fruit, and lots of local sweets available though. But don’t expect bacon, sausage or pancakes. Internet worked well. My family loves these smaller hotels that don’t have the names of the big boys. Definitely don’t let that deter you. We are rarely disappointed.

Not a 4-star by any standards Let me start by stating we enjoyed our stay at Pure Hotel particularly because of the charming concierge Karina who helped us with the safe (twice), brought us a box of tissues (Kleenex) as the hotel does not supply it, an extra blanket, and made restaurant recommendations. Let us add more positives: The hotel is located on a side street and is hence not noisy as the street has no bars or cafes (that is negated by clients going up and down assuming everyone else is awake). Comfortable king size bed and excellent A/C. Integrated bathroom with completely enclosed shower. Freshly painted and decorated. Here are some minusses that show that the hotel should not be classified as a 4-star: Only 4 hangers in closet No box of paper tissue No shower cap or other amenities In fact you get just towels and soap No slippers No iron or steamer 1 seat and 1 sofa: both have seen better days. See picture: sofa has its back to TV, hence watching the Champions League final from the bed is murder on anyone’s back. Room door of superior triple room and elevator door are so adjacent to the point you cannot enter room if elevator door is open (see picture)! Modest breakfast (see picture). A final warning to all visitors to Greece: nowhere are you allowed to put toilet paper in the toilet! Some hotels have a bidet. This one does not.

The rooms were so small and the Hotel in general was really small. No fictional air conditioner in the lobby because of electricity problems so we had to wait in a sweaty air. Although the staff were really nice.
