Grand Hotel Holiday Resort

We have just returned from a trip here. The food and pools are excellent. Plenty of choice. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. A big shout out to both lifeguards who are the friendliest I’ve come across. Always smiling and getting involved with the kids (countdown on the slides when racing etc) The hotel is mainly French and German families. Whilst we didn’t have an issue here, our boys did struggle to make friends due to some language issues. Lots of food choices and the drinks were excellent. The only negative experience I came across, was the lady who took your photos on an evening when going for dinner etc. She wanted to take our photos. The next day, I did buy 2 pictures off here. But she was very annoyed and told me I was wasted her time (she google translated this). I found her rude. A last shout out to the staff for helping me on departure day with an issue for my son. What they provided us with, I’m very grateful. Thank you. We stayed in room 1001 and perfect location.

I have stayed in more than 100 hotels throughout my life, and I have never experienced a worse holiday than the one I had here. I have traveled to more than half the world, and yet this is the first time I have encountered such unacceptable service—both in terms of food and hospitality. To begin with, even getting a simple bottle of water was an issue. And let me clarify: I am staying here under an all-inclusive concept. Despite that, we couldn’t even get a bottle of water for our room. At around 9 PM, I went to the restaurant and asked for water. I was told, “Get it from wherever you had your meal.” When I went to the lobby, they said,“If you come from outside without having dined in the hotel, we cannot provide you with water.” 🤣 It was honestly shocking—they refused to give us water that likely costs no more than 30 cents. It was like a bad joke. As for the pool, it seems no one from hotel management has ever used it themselves. The entire pool contains salt water. Everyone I spoke with had similar complaints. Most guests were swimming with diving goggles—clearly not a normal or pleasant experience. The food was another disappointment. It was the same every single day, with no variety whatsoever. And what shocked me the most was that while guests were still eating, staff would begin clearing away the food and packing everything up. It was incredibly disrespectful and unprofessional. They give you a card, and there is a snack bar at lunchtime—but the snack bar is located only at the children’s pool. So if you are swimming at the main pool, you have to get up and walk all the way to the children’s pool. It’s completely absurd!!! 🤣

We are returning to this hotel in a couple of weeks and cannot wait to arrive! It's very clean and comfortable with excellent facilities and very friendly staff. The reservations manager Maria is particularly kind and helpful and went out of her way to accommodate myself and my teenage daughter. We really enjoyed the food and found everything to be high quality. The main restaurant is very clean and spacious and had a large variety to choose from without repetition. The ice creams around the pool are also really good. The location is a few minutes walk from stalis which has a beautiful beach and lots of cute little shops. Love this hotel and can't wait to return. Highly recommend.

Not even close to pictures , all inclusive was an illusion. If anything the bar staff. Kostas and George made a difference with great attitude and service A big shout to Dimitri at reception too, always willing to help. Restaurant staff service was ok , special shout to ~Duygu very attentive and always with a smile . buffet was very poor Buffet

Here now. I would love to say this hotel exceeded my expectations but I cannot. Whilst there are staff that make this review better rated than it should be, a lot let's this hotel down. So il do 2 paragraphs. One good one bad The bad..... we have already changed rooms due to the amount of red ants and huge ants in our beds upon returning to our room for the night. All over the floor, the beds , the bathroom everywhere. That room was dated and at the top of the hill, not ideally situated for people with young children. There are cockroaches in the main pool area, toilets and around that vicinity. The snack bar staff are less than friendly so far, they change daily so let's hope for better tomorrow. We are now in our second room and I am experiencing what can only be described as fear induced insomnia....there is something or some things trying to get through our drain/plugs in the bathroom. Making a racket, tapping, pushing something in there, ive gone in to look and nothing to be seen it stops and then I go back to bed and it starts again five mins later. Now identified as a rat in the air con and the walls running in and out. We have now been changed rooms again 🫠 The main pool is highly chemically treated, one of our parties eyes had a major reaction ans they had to leave and come back due to the reaction, its also ruined all of our swim wear as it has died everything a bleach yellow. The race to get sunbeds is unreal, I never understood hotels allowing people to put towels out at the crack of dawn n then not show up till after lunch. Happened alot and causes a lot of arguments between parties when one accuses the other of stealing sun beds 🤪 crazy lady. The reception staff could do with being friendly being customer facing. Plus point with all this going on the bad points is the cocktails are good and strong. Despite our complaints and awful service we did get given a fruit basket.... of which being all inc we got for free anyway 😂 honestly I wouldn't stay here again What started as a promising relaxing break ended in disaster. The good ..... restaurant staff are lovely, George especially is a lovely gent. The bar staff also friendly in the main bar and the pool bar. The food is good, lots to choose from. The second room we had is modern. The WiFi is good. The taxis to and from everywhere including within the hotel and to the beach are well thought of and the drivers are more than helpful and friendly. Cleaning staff are great, again more than friendly. The shop is well stocked if a little overpriced but it is well run . Would not stay again. Ever. Not relaxing. No sleep and genuinely poor overall. The good points sadly did not make up for the bad. Have raised a complaint with TUI aswel
