Athenarum Portus Piraeus

We’ve stayed for 1 night. Room is clean and good location to get your ferry. Staff helpful at the reception. But - We took a breakfast on the go to catch our ferry. It’s definitely not worth it, unless you’re on a diet. Don’t bother with it. A fancy box but nothing much in it.

The staff was excellent – always helpful and kind, and their recommendations were truly valuable. The rooms were clean and the breakfast was enjoyable. However, Room 308 had several issues. The shower design is problematic: without a curtain and with a glass panel that is too short, the entire bathroom gets wet when using the shower. The ventilation fan also didn’t work properly, leaving the room damp. In addition, the room overlooks a construction site, which affects the view and overall experience. Considering these points, I would have expected better value for the money.

Very friendly and helpful staff. New hotel with stylish rooms. Disadvantage showers don't have a door, the bathroom gets wet showering even didn't use the rain shower head. A/C ist working very well as the same as the fridge does. Supermarket 3 minutes walk, also other stores in walking distance and restaurants close by. Ferry terminals also only a few steps away.

My partner and I visit Greece once a year for a kayaking business trip with friends. We tend to rotate our hotel visits each year, as to get a fresh perspective of each municipalities around Athens. This one was picked out because we never stayed near Piraeus marina. Only a few blocks away from the metro and the marina - this was very convenient, short 4 block walk away from the metro. We had stayed on Sept 18 and 19th - and left on the 20th. The location was fairly quiet through the evening, and had no issues sleeping through the night - even with the window open. Small shops surround the hotel, giving it a feel you are living with the local residents - it was fun watching the local garden set out their goods on the truck each morning. Plenty of local sights, restaurants, shops, and entrainment SE of this hotel. Made for a great day/evening out and about. I must highly commend the staff at he front desk for going above and beyond to aid my request for getting a mini-bus. (just some backstory) The plan was for all 16 of our customers to take the ferry to Poros (as we normally do), however due to the winds, the ferry service did not run for a couple of days. I had to quickly enact a plan B to get our folks over to the island. Mid-Friday I requested the front desk to make arrangements for booking a mini-bus for our 16 people and luggage, and drive us to Poros - via Galatas car ferry. This was quite the scramble to organize what could have been a devastating start of a week long kayaking experience. However, over the next few hours the staff made the calls and arrangement for our crew to get on the mini-bus in the morning. Oddly enough, at least 3 of the front desk staff had worked on this project.. and they all communicated to each other about this request - and they all knew me when I checked in on the request. HIGHLY EXCEPTIONAL CUSTOMER CARE !!!!! Would I recommend this place, YES !!!!

This hotel is great. The rooms are lovely and comfortable. The service is excellent. We have good breakfast. It’s good for those on the run for business, yet relaxing and cozy. The staff very friendly and respectful. The gentleman at the restaurant was very polite and was gracious in his response to our needs. I would recommend their pizza as well. Their restaurant run till late night. Overall, the Athenarum Portus Lifestyle Hotel is beautiful and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to anyone going to Piraeus, Athens especially if you’re going on a cruise.
