Nema Design Hotel and Spa

I had a really great stay at this hotel and would honestly say it was a 10 out of 10. The food was good, but what I loved most was how beautiful the whole place was. The pool area outside was such a nice spot to relax, especially with the music playing in the background. There was also a gym, which we used quite a bit and found super convenient. What stood out the most, though, was the staff, everyone was so friendly and helpful, which made the whole experience even better. I’d definitely give the hotel 5 out of 5 stars. The only reason I’m taking off one star is because one of my makeup products went missing from the room. I had used it before housekeeping came in, and afterwards it was gone. We couldn’t find it anywhere, and although I mentioned it at the front desk, there wasn’t really any follow-up or update about it. That was a bit disappointing and something I’ve never experienced before. Other than that, I really enjoyed my time there and would definitely come back.

I stayed at Nema Design Hotel in Crete from April 17 to 22 and had a fantastic experience. The hotel’s style is incredibly modern, elegant, and thoughtfully designed down to the smallest detail. Everything was spotless — cleanliness is clearly a priority here. What really stood out was the staff: always kind, helpful, and truly attentive to guests’ needs. Their warm hospitality made us feel very welcome. The food was also excellent, with a variety of delicious options every day. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a stylish, relaxing, and well-run hotel in Crete.

We had a memorable stay at Hotel Nema in Crete! The most beautiful suite with a private pool was incredible and offered perfect privacy with no overlooking views. Everything was flawless, and we especially want to thank the staff: George for his exceptional service, Nikos at the reception for his warm welcome, and Lydia, the manager, for her professionalism and kindness. A big thank you also to the housekeeping staff for their remarkable work and attention to detail. Their respect and care for the guests are truly appreciated. We will definitely return!

My wife and I have been slow to write up this review since our trip, but posting to say what a fantastic overall holiday we had at NEMA. From first point of coming up the walkway with our bags, we were met by the loveliest and welcoming team. We were given a delicious welcome drink on arrival. Our room was brilliant, with a balcony that got a load of sun throughout the day and was a good size. Had everything we needed and another welcome drink and some dried fruit in the room on arrival. The hotel itself is very smart, well finished and looks great. Really quiet too. We spent most days by the pool and it was incredibly peaceful throughout. We got through two and half books each, sunbathing and sipping cocktails. We used the gym most days and the team at the spa are very good at what they do! Sorted quite a few tight areas in my back out. The staff and team at the hotel are the highlight. They were so personable throughout. Liana was a delight, very knowledgeable and approachable. Forgive us because we have forgotten a lot of the names of the team sadly but the serving staff at breakfast were so lovely and the food was delicious. The apricot greek yoghurt is a must. Overall, we'd come back again in a heartbeat and we don't often return to places we've been already. The spot, right on the beach, and the area were just what we needed. Good food, and a nice relax. We'd highly recommend this hotel.

We were very excited to stay at NEMA design hotel. We had booked here directly through the website for a 9 night stay, for our anniversary. We had inquired through email (not booked) about the price of a possible upgrade to our room. The hotel responded by cancelling our confirmed reservation, without our consent, and replacing it with a new, more expensive reservation that we hadn't agreed to yet, giving us a short window to pay for it. We had simply just asked about the price. When we disputed this we experienced 24 hours of slow, unclear communication. By the time they restored our original booking, we had already felt that the service was not great, so we decided to cancel our entire reservation. For a 5 star hotel, we expected better service. This was a disappointing experience as the hotel was beautiful and we were excited for our stay. Unfortunately based on this experience, I cannot recommend this hotel. I just want to mention that the man at the reception who called us (I didn't catch his name) was very kind and this was not his fault. The issue is how the situation was handled by management.
