Andromaches Holiday Apartments Corfu

Lovely authentic Greek apartments. Stayed there early July and apartment was superb, very clean spacious and modern bathroom with free air con. The owner was brilliant and very helpful. Pool was superb. I would say if you can't walk too far definitely check out the location as you've to walk up a slight hill to get to the apartments (didn't bother us one bit) would i recommend this place ? Yes if you would like the older style Greek apartments and not some pompous arsey place then this is the place.

Very nice place. If you’re only looking for surroundings that are completely new and with no failures - don’t go here. But if you want to experience an apartment hotel with a nice view, calm pool, area, nice and service minded host, clean room and fast repairs when needed this could be a great place to go. Breakfast is made specifically for each guest and the coffee is great. Water and all other beverages can be purchased at the pool bar. 1,2 km to the center of Benitses where there are many bars, restaurants etc. Only 300 meters to the beach. Really great to be able to go back to the apartment and experience complete silence during nighttime. I would happily go back to Andromaches at another vacation

My bf and I stayed here for 7 nights with breakfast included. I think many things that happened could have bothered us if we were different people, such as the sea view being through some trees, but we didn't travel to Corfu to look at the sea through our window. The included breakfast was decent enough - you can have the 'egg meat and cheese' option, which varies on how its cooked and prepared day to day (you might get an omelette, you might get fried eggs etc), or you can get pancakes. We had the pancakes on most days because there was quite an issue with wasps (we visited in September) and we read that they're more attracted to meat. Wasps are not the owners fault though and the pancakes were lovely, fresh cooked everyday. The view from the restaurant/bar area is beautiful too. Our room seemed clean enough, though we spotted a few hairs now and then, and there were beard trimmings left on the bathroom shelf. The information sheet in the room says towels and linens are supposed to be changed every 2-3 days but ours were not changed once. Since we were only there a week it wasn't much of an issue but I don't think you should promise something if it isn't going to happen. We had a big problem with mosquitoes in the room (that were already there when we arrived), so that wasn't much fun. The room was also incredibly humid. There was an extraction fan in the room and another in the bathroom but they were not strong enough to deal with the humidity even if you left them running all day. We didn't mind it too much but we didn't spend that much time in the room either. Like I said earlier though, we tried to not let these things bother us and just focus on the positives. I listed them here for other people to make informed decisions.

Be careful when booking at this hotel! I recommend avoiding the Andromaches Holiday Apartments if you do not want your holiday to be ruined for you or your family! The owner of this hotel complex can cynically and without hesitation appropriate your money in case of force majeure cancellation. He is a boor and rude in personal communication. He ignores all kind requests and requirements of the Booking.com service to cancel the reservation and refund for services not provided. At the same time, the owner justifies himself with various lies: first, he says that it is his business and his rules; then he says that he is not the owner of the hotel and does not make decisions on refunds; later he says that the Booking.com system does not allow him to cancel the reservation; and after appropriating the funds, he accuses you of slander and threatens you for your negative feedback. Also keep in mind that you may be offered a completely different apartment with conditions and amenities that do not match the description and pictures posted on the website. That is, instead of rooms in a multi-storey building, the photos of which are posted on booking websites, you will be offered dark apartments without sufficient natural light in a building that looks like a technical annexe. You might have the promised seaview through the treetops, and that's if you're lucky. The poolside cafe is a mess, with shabby old sofas and tattered cushions. And the promised distance to the sea of 200 metres is the distance on the map, in fact there is a steep mountain road 400 metres long leading to the coast. Take this into account if you are without a car or if you are booking for the elderly or disabled. For understanding. The booking was made for 4 elderly people for a period of 11 nights. Due to incomplete information about the hotel's location in a mountainous area and the guests' musculoskeletal problems, the guests never checked into the hotel, and the owner did not refund the entire 11 nights paid in advance.
