Technofetishism: Whip it into Shape

From March 21 to August 31, 2025, MOMus – Experimental Center for the Arts in Thessaloniki presents Technofetishism: Whip it into Shape, a thought-provoking exhibition exploring the complex relationship between technology and the human body, identity, desire and communication.

Curated by MOMus art historian Irini Papakonstantinou, the exhibition investigates how technology can function as both a tool and a fetish – shaping, enhancing or distorting our experiences of intimacy, eroticism and the self. The works on display reflect on how digital and mechanical media affect perception and behaviour, blurring the lines between autonomy and control, freedom and submission.

Technofetishism: Whip it into Shape is part of the centre’s ongoing programme of exhibitions that challenge established ideas and push artistic boundaries.
