Rating: ★☆☆☆☆ Title: “Loud Rooftop Bar – Avoid If You Want to Sleep” I strongly advise against staying here if you’re looking for a peaceful night’s rest. This property functions as a long stay/Airbnb hotel but on April 7th, 2025 opened a DJ'd rooftop bar that violates local noise ordinances nightly. Until the Roosters Egg resolves their noise issue or properly separate the bar from the lodging experience, I cannot recommend staying here. Despite athens quiet hours being enforced from 11 PM, loud music continues well past midnight, with bass reverberating through the rooms of even neighboring buildings. Conversations with the owner Mr. Kostas have gone nowhere, and multiple residents have called and filed police complaints. This ongoing disturbance violates the terms of the his operating permit. Mr Kostas is permitted to operate his bar from 6PM to 1AM, but he must observe quiet hours starting from 11PM which he violates 5 nights a week (Wed - Sunday). For folks new to Athens, please know you can file a noise complaint by dialing #112 and asking the police to go to the bar and take a decibel reading. Let the police know that the Rooster Bar (40 Sporadon/6th floor) is only accessible by front door buzzer since it is supposed to be a residential short term rental building. Truly a blight on the Kypseli neighborhood where every other establishment honors the quiet hour of 11PM and shame on the owner who would sell out the peace and quality of the neighborhood for a few extra dollars.

Wonderful place. Even better service from the reception through the cleaning service to the very roof, where the friendly staff will welcome you in the bar at the very top of the hotel. The queues to this place should be longer than to the Acropolis. All the best to the owners and staff as well as to all future hotel guests. You won't find anything better in Athens for an overnight stay. Restaurants in the area and you can get to the main attractions by taxi for 7 €. This level of service should be commendable.

My husband and I booked our room more than a month in advance. Due to the strikes, there were an influx of other travelers who made their booking 24 hours or less. Because we were arriving after 20:00 (reception closes then), the hotel sent us a message with our room number. They said our room key would be in the door and the front door would be open. This immediately didn't sit right with me for safety reasons. (Anyone could come in and take a room.) When we arrived, we found someone already in our room. We weren't about to kick her out and get a dirty room, but I also have no idea whether she actually reserved the room because she never showed me proof. However, taking her at her word, we found one room left with the key in it. We decided to take it. About an hour later, we received a knock on our door. A second lady showed me the message from Reception that we were, in fact, in her room. We didn't want to screw over someone else just because our plans were ruined by another traveler and lack of planning from the Reception desk. We ended up giving the lady the room and went straight to the airport without a bed to sleep in. I could understand if this was a small village and reception closed at 20:00, but this is a capital city. Also, leaving keys and doors unlocked is very unsafe, especially because you can see in the hotel from the street. For boasting about being "tech-forward," this hotel isn't even able to solve a simple problem of checking guests in accurately. I am thoroughly disappointed that I emailed the hotel twice with no response. We received no refund and we didn't even end up staying here.

Reception closes at 8. Does it mentioned it anywhere when you book? No. Have spent last 1.5 hour trying to figure out how to get to my room. Turns out my travel agent didn't forward an email saying that the key will be at the door. Literally that. In an apartment building where anyone can get in (I did, just had to push the door) and the key was outside the door. I opened and let myself in. Inside there are no instructions or password for wifi. Signal for phone or internet is only by de window. The bar at he rooftop advertised to be open from 4pm to midnight is of course closed. There is not a place where you can buy water in the building. No one answers to any of the phones in the website or the one in the confirmation. Furniture is nice and new.
