Oscar Hotel Zante

Booked as a group holiday and for the price we had mixed expectations. The room was dirty and the sheets and towels provided also had stains. The balcony light didn’t work and there were other various lights which didn’t work in the room. The water in the bathroom had a tint of salt to it which is not ideal either. The air con was diabolical, considering you have to pay 12 euros a day per room you’d expect it to be of good standard, but no. The air con made all 3 people in the room particularly unwell with everyone getting an illness early in the holiday which made a couple days complete write offs, when complaining about this early on we got told that we were “just not use to it” and we were promised we would have it looked at… we didn’t. The room service wasn’t great either, rooms weren’t cleaned daily and not enough towels provided. We had to go and ask for soap and toilet paper most days which is the bare minimum. Cleaners are also impolite and lazy. The bar food was nice and reasonably priced but it wasn’t uncommon for orders to be forgotten or the completely wrong thing provided, although this was amended they could’ve been more polite and forgiving. Maintenance man was nice however.

Unfortunately this hotel was not pleasant at all. The Aircon was awful and cost 120€ per room on arrival and made us all ill. The bar staff weren't very approachable and forgot our order and didn't even apologise for taking 40 mins to make a toastie and burger. The location is absolutely awful and cost us 500€ in taxis for a week between 6. With the price of taxis being unreasonable. The cleaners did an awful job of cleaning the room and the cutlery in the draws weren't clean when we arrived. I wouldnt ever stay here again and would recommend people to stay clear.

worst hotel ever. Had no electricity or water for 2 days and was given a free drink to compensate for this. We then came back to the hotel at midnight and the security tried to make one of us leave as we weren’t on the booking list? when we had been there for 6 nights and paid. do not book here it is the worst service ever

This was the lads holiday from hell! If the booze doesn’t kill you the crap aircon will. We asked for it to get seen too as we woke up short of breath with sore throats and they just said we weren’t used to it; mind you it was €120. Furthermore breakfast is dead, same with the bar. Pools decent. Location is poor however this is not as much their fault as my mongy mate who booked it. Still €360 euros on taxis. I’d recommend Bear Grills to stay here it'll be a good challenge.

Really good hotel in a reasonable price. Staff service is amazing, so friendly and supportive. We had an issue to get to an island because of the IT issues with flights. They did everything to make our accommodation an amazing experience. It has a wonderful swimming pool, open from 9 AM till 7 PM. They also have a free bus to Laganas Beach, which is a few times a day. Also, you have there a luggage storage. Breakfast is included, with a really nice choice of food. In the room is an air conditioner what is really great. There is also pool bar, open till late hours. Summing up: this hotel is totally recommended!
