We had the pleasure of spending one night at Asteras Villas during our visit to Santorini—a brief stay due to the property's well-deserved popularity. Perched on the caldera's edge with a direct view of the volcano, the location offers some of the most breathtaking vistas on the island. Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted by the staff, and a porter promptly assisted with our luggage, giving us the opportunity to speak with the property manager and complete a smooth check-in process. The hospitality throughout our stay was exceptional—if the stunning views don’t immediately win you over, the attentive service surely will. Our suite was located down several steep flights of stairs, just adjacent to the kitchen where breakfast is prepared. It featured a private outdoor jacuzzi and a charming seating area with a table and chairs overlooking the caldera—an ideal spot for enjoying the sunset or a quiet morning coffee. Inside, the room was clean and comfortable, though the décor felt somewhat dated. The suite included a walk-in shower, a toilet, and a compact vanity. There was also a spacious daybed in one area and a proper queen-sized bed in a separate sleeping space. The air conditioning was individually controlled, allowing us to adjust the temperature to our preference. One unique and delightful detail was the private exit leading directly to the Agiou Mina pathway. In the early morning, we could watch donkeys passing by on their way to the port—a charming glimpse of island life that added to the authenticity of our experience. We made the most of our time by enjoying both the jacuzzi and the upper seating area attached to our suite. While our stay was short, it was truly memorable, and we would gladly return to Asteras Villas—hopefully for a longer visit next time.

I don’t even know where to start. This has been one of my best stays in Europe. From the second you arrive, you’re met with the gigantic smile and energetic personality of George, the hotel manager. Although I’m sure it depends on availability and cleaning, we were able to check in early since our room was already ready. George gave us excellent recommendations for exploring the island. The views from the room are phenomenal and picturesque—it actually makes it hard to leave and explore when all you want to do is sit on the balcony and enjoy the scenery. We stayed in the Venus Suite. The A/C worked like a charm, and the bathroom was large and spacious. The jacuzzi on our balcony was perfect for a quick cool down. Breakfast was stellar, and Eduardo—the gentleman who also looks after the property’s cleanliness and the breakfast service—makes you feel like you’re at home. If I didn’t have flights back home, I would have stayed much longer. This place truly feels like a 5-star hotel. The view of the caldera is to the left (not pictured in some of my photos). The bed was very comfortable. And although there are many bars nearby, the sound insulation was fantastic—we slept perfectly without hearing any of the noise.

We loved our stay here--the rooms were clean, the AC worked well, the location was very central, and the service was superb. The hotel offers taxi services from the airport, which I highly recommend as the taxis on the island are limited, especially at night. George, the general manager, really made our stay amazing--he was very friendly, personable, and responsive. He helped check us in, took our breakfast order, and gave his personal recommendations on what to do around the island. You really can't beat the location and the views from the rooms here--we highly recommend!

We stayed in the ‘Phoebe Suite’ for three nights and we absolutely loved it! The rooms were plenty large enough for two adults, with a hot tub on the balcony overlooking the incredible sunset views. Breakfast was provided for us each morning and brought to our balcony. Located on the cliffs in Fira, it’s right next to beautiful bars, restaurants and shops. Be mindful that there are many steep steps to get to this location, however Dimitri and his colleagues were more than helpful in assisting us with suitcases, airport transfers and anything else we could have possibly needed for our stay. Highly recommend!

Amazing service, view and location. 10/10 would recommend the La Luna Suite! Could see the sunset from our balcony. Hot tub outside was amazing. It was kept at a constant temperature of 37 degC and had clorine in it to keep clean. Breakfast is delivered and served to the room every morning by Eva, who was amazing!
