I am not one to leave bad reviews but this hotel leaves me no choice. I had seen some bad reviews while booking but had assumed they were exaggerated so we decided to give it a try anyway. I'll start with the good things first. The hotel is aged but overall not bad, has a lovely garden and a great large pool, with a small but beautiful private beach just below. Breakfast is plentiful and varied, was reasonably good and bread fresh. Just go early and you will find everything. Distance to town and to ferries, just a 10 min walk. The bad side is the cleaning. In a 5 day stay, no one came to our room, maids were seen daily doing nearby rooms but ours was skipped every time. Even after I specifically went to reception 3 times to request this. 5 days with beds undone, room unswept, and bins overflowing. Keep in mind in Greece you're not meant to throw used tissues in the toilet so after the 2nd day, the bin started to smell. What's worse is that every time I enquired at reception, the girls were all smiles and reassuring, "Yes, of course, no problem sir", but of course nothing happened. On the 4th day, I complained at reception and the nice girl there even called the cleaning lady but apparently that didn't go too well as she then apologised and gave me clean towels and a couple of plastic bags to clean up myself. After that, the least you'd expect is they would send someone to pick up the dirty towels and trash, but no, that didn't happen. I had to carry my own smelly toilet bag back to reception, where I was told to dispose of it myself in the rubbish skip outside. Not sure what was worse, the lack of service or the reception girls lying to my face that things will be taken care of. I'd rather they just advised me that rooms are never cleaned during your stay here. If this hadn't happened, in spite of the aged look and feel, I would still have given this place 5 stars due to its pool, location, and awesome views, but it seems that while paying over €114 per night, cleaning services are not included.

Perhaps once a nice hotel but now with a myriad of problems and very shabby around the edges. The only good thing is the kind staff and lovely pool. Apart from that, the beds are slabs of concrete as were the pillows, music blares loudly almost all day long, unbearably loud at breakfast, unbearably load at the pool . I had requested a double bed months in advance on the reservation only to find a twin bedded room. I was told they were full but upon assisting I was put into a double room. Signage to rooms is useless, the enormous lobby totally depressing.

Andros is a charming Greek island, with friendly inhabitants, delicious food and beautiful scenery. While the hotel might not be luxurious, it was the ideal place to rest after a day of exploring, with comfortable, cool rooms, stunning views of the Aegean and a good breakfast with plenty of fresh produce.

Amazing place, clean but not many services in July. Top breakfast gives it some stars. Swimming pool closed by 7 pm, what a pity. No drinks after 7pm. Nearby is a great pub café that serves food and deserts, also at 10' walking Gavrio which has it all.

Very 70's in decor. Bar shuts at 7pm as does food service. Pool bar expensive and uninviting
