The whole spirit of the renovation of the building is a blend of local and traditional materials and construction details along with historical art features put into contemporary architecture.

Absolutely perfect place. Only six suites surrounding a pool which isn't overlooked. Fantastic place to relax and unwind. Although connected to the busy beachfront it was so quiet and peaceful. Suites themselves decorated to a high standard with every possible touch thought of. Beds are big and very comfortable with extra quilt provided for those that like weight when they sleep. We stayed in the blue monkeys suite and his and hers bathrooms were a surprise we weren't expecting but loved as we could get ready for the evenings at the same time rather than having to take it in turns. We even had a little rooftop upstairs. Here it's the little touches that set the place apart - complimentary wine on arrival which we immediately enjoyed at our table by the pool, unlimited free water rather than the daily one bottle ration. The housekeeper Stella was amazing and did a lovely job of looking after us. As did Fatma who organised a private wine tour for us, taking into account our own preferences and was just generally really helpful in organising transfers, bus stops and explaining the beach train! Our private wine tour was done by an amazing tour company who equally have a stellar review! The hotel is connected to a separate restaurant run by the same people where you are always guaranteed a table and front row sun loungers at beach which are reserved for guests. The owner Yorgos was a lovely man and really made our stay, chatting to us every day and making sure we were having a good time. We didn't have a single disappointing meal here as we ate our way round the menu. The waffles in particular (the thing they are famous for in the area) are out of this world and if we could have bought one of their special waffle machines we would have! They also make some of the best tzatziki I had while we were there. All the staff are friendly and welcoming and do an excellent job in very warm weather! He is supported by a great team. We were given a lovely send off on our last night/morning and honestly it felt hard to leave everyone. We stayed 9 days and honestly could have stayed longer.

We had an amazing time at Terra Nera and felt very welcomed by Christos upon arrival. We were also welcomed by the owners of the place and restaurant, they’re really nice. The suites are connected to the restaurant and a dedicated area on the beach, which was really nice as we got to use the sunbeds on the beach. The room we stayed in was nicely decorated with lots of amenities. A generous amount of water was provided everyday which was great! There was also a welcome gift- a rose with the name Terra Nera. As we were staying there just before our wedding, Terra Nera surprised us with a bottle of sparking wine, fruits and a little note during our stay. We really enjoyed all the human touches from Terra Nera and they definitely made Terra Nera stands out from other hotels in the area.

We absolutely loved our stay at Terra Nera Suites and absolutely regretted that we only stayed 1 night! We received the warmest and kindest welcome of all the places we stayed in the Greek Isles and the feeling of warmth and kindness continued throughout our stay. The rooms and spaces are serene, spacious, spotlessly clean and equipped with everything you need. The beach and the pool areas are both very comfortable and relaxing. Food, drinks and coffee from the restaurant were all delicious! All 4 of us were very disappointed to leave this perfect little corner of Santorini. We hope to return one day!
