Lovely stay, food had plenty of options, nice to see chicken dishes. Rooms were lovely and modern. Beds super comfy. Pools were enjoyed by all of us. Splash park kept the kids busy. Beach was a lovely sandy beach. Town is a 40 minute walk away. Staff all friendly and helpful. Will definitely be returning.

We are staying in the Giorgiopolis Suites for a week now. The junior suites rooms are small but the layout and furniture makes them really comfortable places for 2 persons to stay in. They have two air conditioning units, a rain shower, two sinks and two mirrors with one extra mirror that can be adjusted. The balcony has a nice side view to the beach. 5/5 for the rooms and the amenities there. Room service cleans the rooms every day and does a fantastic job. 👏 The breakfast has a huge variety of foods. We drink a cappuccino every morning and eat fresh fruits and vegetables. They got so much different breads and sausages. Perfectly made eggs, scrambled, fried and omeletts. I can't possibly name all the options but let's say you won't miss anything. Even sweets. In the evening the options vary. Yesterday there was sushi and asian food. Two days before hamburgers in 3 kinds. Beef burgers medium, tuna and veggie. But even when there is a special like burgers they have a lot of options in the evening. They can be hit or miss but the options make up for it. Also the service ia great, always looking for empty plates to take away. The beach is really only 5 minutes from the hotel. There are complimentary Bali beds that provide nice comfort and shade. But not much wind protection on windy days. They will ask for your room number to make sure you are allowed to use them. The sand is fine and smooth. The coast is very shallow and there is some rocks in the water, but usually not an issue. I didn't cut myself yet, but they can be painful. After a swim you can even refresh with drinks 🍸 and go under the open air shower directly at the beach. You can also find clean toilets there. Back in the hotel there are two pools. One is supposed to be the quiet pool, but some parents don't seem to know or to care. That's one negative. Also children can be a nuisance in the morning when they are screaming and singing loudly in the corridor at 8 or 9 o'clock in front of the rooms. The staff is very nice. Some even speak German. Most speak English, some better than others. At the beach restaurant I don't like the attitude of some of the staff, when you get the wrong drink 2 times in a row and you get asked why they didn't see you there before it's feels offensive. Apparently they couldn't change the receipt and had me sign the bill of a wrong drink 🤷 and gave me change in cash to make up the difference. That's half board [German "Halbpension"] for you. At least I feel like the attitude of most of the staff really caring, appreciative and accommodating. From one day to another the drinks at the bar can vary. Which can be a gamble. I gotta give 5/5 stars 🌟. The experience for me is very enjoyable and I can totally recommend visiting here. I feel welcomed and from the first day I loved the mountain scenery in the background. Crete is a beautiful place and this hotel is one of the best to experience it. You are not far from most of the activities and great places like Chania and Rethymno. There is a supermarket you can visit by walking 10 or 15 minutes. I recommed renting a car 🚗. EDIT: I have changed it to 5/5 stars 🌟 now that it is my last day here and the last few days were great and I could reflect on my experience here a bit more.

All staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Facilities were very clean. It was great to have a plunge pool which was larger than we thought and it had a beautiful view of the mountains and water. Having a waterpark was a huge plus for our boys. We were pleasantly surprised at how nice the beach facilities were - if choosing all inclusive, you paid for nothing at the beach. There were beautiful covered beds, fruit, drinks, and Prosecco served to you as well as a wonderful beach side bar and restaurant as part of the package; you could also pay as you go and use all beach facilities. While we didn’t use it, there appeared to be plenty of room for chairs by the main pool, and there were always lounge chairs available by the waterslides. Overall, it seemed really well staffed for the number of guests and never felt crowded. There was a wide variety of food every night, always including high quality Greek food, as well as range of other food that made everyone in our family happy. The fruit trays they offer are phenomenal! It was great to be so central for short day trips to Lake Kournas, Chania and Rethymno. Highly recommended.

Georgioupolis Suites was the perfect place for me to unwind during my recent vacation. The suites had a great view of the sea and were roomy and tidy. The kind staff that made sure we got all we needed was greatly appreciated.
