Esplanade Apartments Chania

Welcome to Hotel Esplanade. The story of this hotel begins in 1960. Back then, my father Michael, emigrated to Canada with an aim. When he was going to return, he would build his own family hotel. Having been born and raised abroad I know how important it is for someone to feel comfortable at his place of staying. So, I always try to do my best for my guests and make them feel like home.

The Location
Esplanade Apartments is located in Kalathas and the Akrotiri peninsula. The area of ​​Akrotiri is suitable for couples and families with children who want a quiet, comfortable, seaside stay in an apart hotel near Chania town with an easy access to the airport and highway so that they can explore the other beauties of Chania prefecture and Crete.

The beaches
In Akrotiri, within 5 to 10 minutes by car, there are many different beaches depending on the wishes of each guest. Almost all have a blue flag.
Beaches for families and couples are the beaches of Kalathas, Marathi and Loutraki. The latter, though smaller than the rest, is prefered by the locals as it combines a calm family atmosphere and a lifestyle for young people.
Also, there is the beach of Stavros where the famed scene of "Sirtaki" was filmed from the multiple awarded film "Zorbas the Greek". Finally, about 20 minutes away from the property by car, is the small, hidden beach with the blue and crystal clear waters, Seitan Limani beach, a point that definitely deserves a visit for anyone coming to Chania.

Dining
The area has several small family restaurants and tavernas near the beaches and at the main city of ​​Akrotiri peninsula, Kounoupidiana.

The rooms
Light-coloured, clean and simply styled, the studios and apartments at Esplanade Apartments are self catering. Each has balcony with sea, garden or mountain views. All of them have free Wi-Fi internet, ethernet and are air-conditioned.
Guests can enjoy the sunset view in the pool area where there are sunbeds and umbrellas, as well as showers. There is also a small pool for children.

Distances
Esplanade Apartments is 900 meters from the beach of Kalathas and about 10 minutes walking distance. The accommodation is approximately 15 minutes by car from the city of Chania and 10 minutes from the airport.

Getting around
Τhere is plenty of parking space right outside the property. At around 300 meters from the accommodation there is a bus stop where the route Stavros - Chania passes.
