Dimitra Hotel & Apartments

Don’t recommend. I booked a room 1 month before my trip, on the day of check in I received message that they cannot accommodate me because of some „technical issues” and that they will accommodate me in Heraklion, it was not convenient to me as It was completely different from what I paid for, no beach close and no pool. Then I found review on booking that someone had the same situation 5 days ago (so these technical issues were happening before and I received message on the check in day) and they were accommodated in dirty room in the basement. I contacted booking and the facility was expected to accommodate us somewhere else, instead they canceled my reservation about 1 hour before my flight to Crete and I was left with no place to sleep. I had to quickly make reservation in some different place for the same day and as you can expect, there is really nothing to choose from and that ruined my vacation.

Super clean , close to the airport near by beach , bars & many restaurants , the woman in the reception is very kind and helpful, i enjoyed my stay there ,great for the price, I can totally recommend 💙🤍💙🤍💙

I stayed at the Dimitra Hotel & Apartments from August 17 to August 20, 2024. My booking was until August 28, 2024. However, I was forced to leave this hotel due to the unbearable living conditions. I want to clarify that I’m not very picky and usually approach things with understanding, but my patience ran out here. In room 209, which was assigned to me, there was a terrible smell, the air conditioner barely worked, the water pressure was weak, and the water was almost always cold. The tiles in the bathroom were moldy and filthy, two light bulbs in the fixtures were out, and although they promised to replace them, nothing was done during my stay. The room was as dark as a crypt, and everything was extremely dirty; the cups were dirty and chipped, the kettle was filthy (I even got shocked by it once!), and the refrigerator was dirty with a broken freezer door. When I checked into the room, I found a package of condoms under the bed! I was in shock! The mattresses on the beds were sagging. When my friends arrived on August 20, he was horrified by what he saw. There were no free rooms available; we even wanted to pay extra for an upgrade, but the entire hotel was booked. Therefore, to prevent our vacation from being completely ruined, we had to leave this AWFUL hotel urgently. You can imagine our moral state at the beginning of the vacation; the impressions were just terrible. This was further compounded by the fact that for three weeks, Booking.com has not been able to provide a proper solution, only giving us a €50 voucher. Meanwhile, from August 20 to August 28, other guests could have been accommodated in that hotel, generating revenue. This is unfair! The hotel is not worth the money. The living conditions there are inhumane. Unfortunately, the staff could not help in any way.

Worst experience ever. I don't know how ppl are giving them 4 and 5 stars!? Don't go people, all is a scam! Rooms and furniture are probably 9+ years old, furniture sticky and walls with 10 coats of paint. Bad and "old" smell. Breakfast........ apart from water milk, concentrated orange juice with water and 3 options....... bread, ham and cheese, nothing else to choose from. Be care before you book it and better pay a bit more but decent service. I would rate this as a 1 star only.

Perfect location, very friendly staff. Excellent breakfast. Very closed to the airport, beach and restaurants. Thanks Dimitra hotel.
