I booked this hotel expecting a 4-star hotel the way I have experienced 4-star hotels around the world. However, this felt more like a 2-star hotel. Here's why: 1) There is no parking for your rental car, you have to shlep your luggage up a hill from a public parking lot. 2) The rooms are very outdated with old tiled bathrooms. 3) The shower is in the middle of the long side of a tub. Very inconvenient to shower. 4) The reception is a tiny little desk unlike anything I have seen at 4-star hotels. 5) The breakfast was not bad but also nothing you'd expect from a European quality breakfast. If you are an elderly person with knee issues there is also no elevator for rooms on the second floor. The price per night was super steep. I am sure I could have found a much nicer apartment or suite at a much cheaper rate.

Luxury property with tall white towers and pillars; the property is on the corner of the mountain side. The interior has warm, light-blue themed furnishings, and a large restaurant space, with tables outside for even more views. Local artists offer hand drawn portraits outside the lobby on the steps.

If staying in Fira, this is the best hotel to stay in terms of location and view! It is in the center of Fira and just a 4 minute walk from the main bus station which was very convenient for us! We got a caldera room and everyday of our stay, we would sit on our balcony and watch the beautiful views throughout the day and night. This would be a perfect spot to watch the sunset (unfortunately the weather was cloudy and gloomy so we did get to see one) but I believe it is very comparable if not better then the views from Oia especially if trying to avoid the crowds. Even if you do not get a caldera view room, the outside seating area of the hotel also has an amazing view of the caldera. The hotel rooms are very well maintained considering this was the first hotel built in Thira (per our tour guide). We also thoroughly enjoyed the extensive variety of breakfast and pleased with how many vegetarian options we had. All the food was so fresh and delicious which made for a great start to the day! I highly recommend staying at this hotel!

Great location with great views. Rooms are a bit dated but still nice. Balcony rooms with caldera view are great. Pool area is nice. Service was great. Traditional hotel feel compared to many of the other hotels nearby that are in caves. Breakfast was good and there is a bar in the lobby for coffee and beer, wine, and cocktails.

The place has the perfect location since it is at the top of the clift and the start of a boulevard that has multiple ships and places to eat. It is also at one block of the archeological museum and a few steps further the central bus station. The room not only has the dreamed view of the Caldera and the perfect sunset view but also the northwest side of the island. I was impressed in general by Greeks. They are sociable, cooperative, nice, and ready to help when they see you in trouble without asking them. Staff from the hotel didn't get short. They went far from their duties in more than one occasion to help us and make us feel happy. Especial mention to Lena, the server at the restaurant, who gave all the guests ample explanations to their questions and offered solutions to a guess with limited diet. Room service was equally diligent as the rest of the staff.
