Pilot Beach Hotel Chania

Went in late May and was a superb location for a family holiday. Lots to do in the resort and lots accessible by hire car around the island to explore. Food is perfect for a family, lots of choice and all very tasty. The place is well maintained and our room was excellent. We had a double with a split sofa bed for our two boys (7/11). Atmosphere is great, friendly and helpful staff, pools (all 5 of them!) are varied and never too busy.

Pilot Beach is a large holiday hotel resort with direct access to the beach. The pools are large and great for families. We had a very large room. The service is very friendly and professional. A good place for family holidays with kids. For my taste the restaurants are too big and the food okay, but not outstanding.

Our stay at Pilot Beach was far more than just a vacation – it was a heartfelt experience where every detail was thoughtfully taken care of. First and foremost, the cleanliness throughout the resort was impeccable. From the rooms to the shared areas, everything was spotless and well-maintained. The food was another highlight – diverse, fresh, and of the highest quality. Every meal was a culinary delight, with plenty of options to suit all tastes. However, what truly made our stay extraordinary was the wonderful staff. At the reception, Lidia greeted us warmly, explained everything clearly, and went above and beyond to help us when we encountered a minor issue – the mattress was too soft and caused back pain, but she promptly arranged a solution that made a huge difference. In the restaurants, we were kept informed about themed evenings, always welcomed with a smile, and even offered ouzo on the house. We’d like to especially thank Laura at the Kronos restaurant – a polite, well-groomed, and cheerful young lady who made every interaction pleasant. At Galos Beach, Stefania took great care of us, ensuring we were always comfortable and well-served. The level of service and kindness truly made us feel like part of a family. The gentlemen at the pancake station were also incredibly kind, engaging with the children, offering them compliments, and making them feel appreciated and at ease. We wholeheartedly recommend Pilot Beach Resort. It’s not just a place to stay – it’s a carefully crafted experience where every detail matters. We can’t wait to return! If there’s one small area for improvement, it would be the evening shows, which could benefit from a bit more variety or energy to match the excellence seen throughout the rest of the resort.

This definitely isn't a 5star place, it was more a 4 star. The food was good and restaurant staff were friendly and attentive. Unfortunately getting drinks around the pool and after dinner was very very slow which is shame as it could be a fantastic place if they tried harder.

Excellent resort. Huge variety of food available. Rooms are a good size. Staff are very welcoming and friendly and try their best to please. The hotel and rooms are always very clean and tidy. We would definitely book again.
