11.03.2025Our first time in Athens, Greece and we stayed in this hotel. Great choice!!! Clean, the concierge person/front desk was so helpful, really very nice rooms, bar, breakfast area, and front door area. The rooms were very quiet and comfortable. The hotel keeps their front door locked. We very much enjoyed our time here at this hotel. We felt safe as well. This hotel is in a GREAT location to walk to the ancient archaeological sites, restaurants, the Monastiraki square to socialize, and to the shops. We would stay here in this hotel again!

23.06.2025Real bummer of a visit. The hotel mis-advertised it's 'rooftop bar with view of the acropolis' as the bar was closed and rooftop inaccessible. There should be a notice on the website or on booking profile, as the rooftop view of the acropolis is the primary attraction to this hotel. There was also no 'airport shuttle' service which was also included in their listed amenities. Staff were incredibly rude. When we asked about both items, they were not amenable and even described a service called 'uber' (sarcastically) when asked why the advertised airport shuttle service was not available. *Edit: Added screenshot of description in which 'shuttle service' is noted. Also, the booking agent called the hotel when attempting to provide a partial refund and asked if they had a shuttle service, to which the hotel lied and said yes.

02.02.2025Room was clean and modern. Staff changed our bedding every day and refilled tea and coffee! Breakfast was lovely and there was a lot of options to pick from! Location was spot on, we walked no more than 15/20 minutes to everything we wanted to see. Some were even closer! Staff were lovely and gave us recommendations on where to stay! I highly recommend this hotel and if we were ever to visit again, we would definitely come back. Thank you!

11.05.2025I’m extremely disappointed with my experience at NLH Monastiraki Hotel in Athens. I had booked the Grand Loft Suite with Balcony, but upon arrival, the room we received reeked of cigarette smoke, despite the hotel’s policy clearly stating that smoking is not allowed in rooms. After complaining to the front desk, they simply sprayed air freshener and claimed the issue was resolved – which it absolutely wasn’t. We refused to stay in that room. They then offered us an alternative room, which also smelled strongly of smoke. At no point were we offered a smoke-free room, nor were we assisted in finding alternative accommodations. The only thing the hotel did was offer a full refund – by then it was already 4 PM on the day of our check-in. We were left with no choice but to search for a last-minute room on our own to salvage our vacation. This experience was frustrating, unprofessional, and unacceptable, especially from a hotel that advertises itself as non-smoking. Based on our experience, I strongly do not recommend staying at this hotel. That said, the location is very convenient, and for those who are not sensitive to smoke or don’t mind these issues, it might still be worth considering.

21.06.2025Very clean. Four people fit tightly, but comfortably. Well-insulated exterior walls. Rooftop bar is the highlight . Walking distance to numerous fabulous restaurants and shops.
