Michalios Luxury Apartments

One of the best accomodations ever had. The host is exceptional and the location great!

We took a risk on something that just opened and sadly it did not pay off. There is no communication between the people you book with and the actual apartments so no one came to pick us up from the port. After walking almost 20 minutes with big backpacks in the blistering heat we arrived and instead of apologising and maybe offering us a bottle of water (they run a tavern next door) they just blamed the agency and asked us to pay. They didn’t even know how long we were staying for. Rooms are fine but extremely basic - not luxury AT ALL so the word luxury needs to be removed. The beds are also really uncomfortable and we were in pain after a few days sleeping in them. Water spills all over the floor when you shower so I ended up mopping myself everyday and there was no bin in the kitchen. They also told us there was a problem with the wifi due to the fires but there was no wifi the entire time we were there, there is wifi but no actual internet in the rooms at all. The lady who runs it also speaks no English at all and given their internet doesn’t work we couldn’t use google translate. Maybe in a year or so it will be better but right now, I cannot recommend these apartments…

The property is located ten minutes walk from the center on the road that leads to the first beaches that can also be reached on foot. Composed of studios with equipped kitchenette, large and clean. In short, a nice room with an equally nice livable terrace from which you have a beautiful view of the sea and the island in front. The bathroom is sufficiently large and functional despite the environment being less, how can I say, cared for in its construction. The owner who accompanied us by car with the suitcases to and from the port was very kind. The adjacent tavern gives the possibility of having an excellent dinner a few steps from home. In short, a good solution for staying on this island where the structures are not cheap.
