Mixed feelings about this hotel. Location wise, was very good. One block away from Monastraki and walking distance to the main things in Athens. Service was ok and everyone was very helpful during our stay. The rooms are recently renovated and in general in good state. The rooftop and I general the food/breakfast was disappointing. The rooftop has a partially obstructed view of the Parthenon. Other places have better views. Food wise was not good. The food in the restaurants has no actual soul-feels like frozen food heated up in an improvised kitchen. Also, the breakfast options were very limited. And, the space itself is full of tables/Charlie’s making it difficult to walk around.

We stayed three nights and chose this hotel for the location. It was within walking distance to Monastraki Square and the Plaka area. The breakfast and the rooftop bar were disappointing. Breakfast seemed like reheated food, no real variety or taste. The fresh orange juice was good. The tables made it difficult to get around. The concierge at the front desk was friendly and helpful. The other rooftop bars in the area offered a better view and service.

During peak summer season Athens gets booked-up pretty fast and despite attempts months in advance, reservation is a tough game, until we landed on Royalty Hotel. Placed in the City Center yet quiet enough from the street noise, but close enough to the enjoyable area of Monastiraki Station Square - we had an awesome time. Everything was within walking distance - the rooms were clean and spacious - the bathrooms were an absolute treat. Service by all... including Management [Grace], frontdesk [Maria, Zeta, Tina, Grisela & Elena], housekeeping, rooftop restaurant [Sotiris], breakfast cafeteria [Anna & Georgia]... was stunningly exceptional. We enjoyed the rooftop views of the Square that is hustling in the night, at the same time where music is pumping and people are enjoying spirits and food at their rooftop restaurants/bars all across from ours.... and simultaneously the view of the lighted [& very close to the Hotel] Acropolis in the background, is just stunning to watch. Albeit vegetarian, there was enough breakfast for us, and the coffee was extremely tasty. The service provided by the ladies at the front desk for transfers, and even following through after we are dropped off, is extremely commendable. My girls wanted to step out in the night to enjoy the City and the ladies ensured that they were dropped-off and picked-up by coordinated Transfer drivers...safely and appropriately. There are a gazillion and very expertly curated culinary places to visit & eat within minutes of walking, besides brand goods stores to shop at, and a flea market for souvenirs extra... There is also a Spa within the Hotel premises which services we did not avail of, but looked very regal. We wanted to, and were recommended by the Hotel, a lovely dinner experience with live musicians performing Greek soul music - folklore... The Hotel is maturing and the management is taking exceptional efforts in its coming of age. Royalty Hotel deserves a shot and they are working very hard at keeping it going good! Cheers Royalty team for an excellent stay!

You can’t beat the location , comfortable rooms and a quaint balcony . What made our stay exceptional were the hard working staff . From the lovely ladies Georgia and Anna at breakfast ( going that extra detail in making sure we had everything we needed ) and their warm smile is what you want to start your day . The barmen Sotiris and Jason ( the best in the biz ) . And finally the reception staff that greet you every time you walk past ! Thank you Konstanina 👌👏🥰

The cleaner threw away a bag of chocolates and souvenirs we bought for the family, and the hotel's solution was to bring us Baklava as compensation, which is not what we bought. We went to Aegina specifically and bought chocolate there and they simply don't care about the money we spent on the discarded items, or the fact that we returned home empty-handed. It's just disrespectful.
