Descrizione

The Marblous Athens

Favorably located in the heart of the city, close to Athens’s most vibrant neighbourhoods, housed in a fully renovated building dating back to 1938, typical of the mid-war period architecture of Athens, we’ve had the amazing opportunity to use all of our enthusiasm and creativity in order to create The Marblous (deriving from Marble + Marvelous) offering elegant, hip and contemporary accommodation and providing genuine hospitality while engaging thoughtful service and giving attention to detail with the aim of creating marvelous experiences.

An important characteristic and element of The Marblous is the key role of the windows, both in the rooms and in the breakfast bistrot at the ground floor; they act as small, colorful “pictures of Athens” hanging on the walls and allowing the visitor to feel the city vibes in the most living and direct way possible.

Women discretely played an important role while creating the core of this concept (whether they are travelling alone, with their friends, their partner or their family) and their needs are taken into consideration on all levels of its operation. From the first glance, this philosophy manifests itself primarily in its particular aesthetic identity, which combines the timeless texture of blushing marble tiles with a pastel color palette and select elements of curvature and softness, making one immediately feels an elegant sense of calm while creating a minimalist style that elicits a sense of well-being. Moving on, it is also apparent in its comfortable and tasteful rooms and suites (some of which have a view of the city and the Acropolis), which include “marvellous” pampering details that make all the difference, like full-length mirrors, work desks / dressing tables and luxury brand beauty and personal care products for our guests.

A different accommodation experience that emits femininity and makes everyone feel like a true guest in an oasis of serenity and good taste, invigorating their senses and providing the energy needed to explore the lively city literally lying at their feet.

The Marblous is a wonderful hotel offering comfortable accommodation in a prime location in Athens. We were looking for a hotel that didn't rely on offering Acropolis views, as we believe they offer better value for money; The Marblous didn't disappoint. Our room was clean, modern, and the right side of luxurious (without being pretentious), and also benefited from a spacious balcony. We enjoyed breakfast on our balcony every morning and found the options and quality to be excellent. All staff were super friendly, attentive, and welcoming throughout our stay, too, so we will return.

I had a great 2-night stay at the hotel which is very close to the Syntagna Square. Basically one can reach the main tourist sites by walking around. The room was equipped with everything I needed and what I loved most was that the window can be opened for a bit to keep a good circulation. Cleaning lady was hard working and pleasant. Miking at the counter was kind and considerate to let me have breakfast on the day Ilene. I checked in as I would have missed the last day’s breakfast. There are great restaurants around. I felt safe staying in the area. Highly recommend it.

Great hotel within walking distance of the Acropolis. Room I got had two floors on which the hot tub was on the second floor. Was able to see the Parthenon from the room. Breakfast is included and the selection was good and diverse. Would definitely recommend.

Wonderful gem of a hotel, hidden off the main road but walking distance to everything you would want to see whilst in Athens. Hotel room was fabulous, best night sleep ever! Breakfast plentiful and the freshest of ingredients. Would highly recommend staying here.

It’s fine for a short stay. Very convenient due to its central location, yet it's on a rather quiet street, so noise with windows closed wasn’t an issue - which was crucial for us. The staff are generally very nice, but the person who checked us in didn’t provide any information at all. Breakfast is pre-ordered from a printed list, from which you can choose 2 options, which you have to submit then at the reception the day before. It’s a bit inconvenient, but the food itself was generally very tasty. On one occasion though, the juice I were served was spoiled. I also ordered a second cup of tea that day and was charged extra for it, which I found outrageous. To be clear, it’s not about the money, but more about the mentality behind this type of policy. There was no kettle in the room, just an espresso machine. The room itself was fine, but there was a lingering smell, probably coming from the bathroom, which forced us to keep the window open for most of the time, even though it wasn’t very warm outside.
