Meganissi is a picturesque five-star island in the Ionian Sea, four (4)nautical miles southeast of Lefkada island and 1,5 nautical miles from Skorpios. It is the largest island of a cluster of islands (Scorpios, Scorpidi, Tsokari, Madouri, Sparti, Heloni), which constitutes the administrative district of the Municipality of Meganisi. It has an area of 20 sq. km.

Azur Retreat consists of a total of 18 Suites with an unobstructed Sea view. 12 of the suites come with a private swimming pool. All visitors of Azur Retreat are free to enjoy the well-made plate selection of the central Restaurant/Bar with the views of the large infinity pool & sea.

LOCATION

The resort is located between the 2 main villages of Meganissi, Vathy & Spartochori. It is a quiet land that yet allows the visitors easy access to the surrounded life of the island. The charming village and harbor of Vathy with the local fish taverns and markets is within 5 minutes walking distance from the resort.

    I had a fantastic stay at Azur Retreat in Meganisi! The place is peaceful, elegant, and perfectly maintained. What made the experience truly special, though, were the wonderful people. Everyone was incredibly kind and helpful throughout the entire stay. A special thank you to Mariana from the spa – she truly has magic fingers! I left feeling completely relaxed and recharged. Can’t wait to come back!

    We have travelled to a lot of Greek islands and Meganissi is by far my favourite. It has a lovely laidback feel. This is a lovely hotel with an upmarket, but relaxed vibe. We had a rockstar room on the 3rd floor, which had an amazing sea view and the perfect size pool for a couple. We spent many hours watching the yachts as they headed for the marina in Vathy, whilst floating in our pool. The main pool was also stunning and waiter service is available. We had the daily breakfast plus lunch and dinner there once. The food was lovely and we will definitely eat in the restaurant again when we return. Shout out to George who was always ready to welcome us for breakfast and have a chat. Other bars, restaurants and shops in Vathy are a short 8 mins walk away(mostly flat). All the staff are super helpful and took time to get to know their guests. Maria and Phaedra on reception were lovely and very engaging. They suggested restaurants and places to visit to make the most of our stay. However, if you just want a chill out holiday this is the place to be. We will definite return to this beautiful hotel.     Exceptional location and high end contemporary vibe. Excellent food with included alacarte breakfast and high end evening meals. Stunning views just 7 min walk from Vathy village with bars and restaurants.

    Wow just arrived home from a fantastic holiday at the Azure retreat. The journey and private transfer was so slick . The hotel was fantastic. We had a beautiful suite with duplex balcony and jacuzzi. The views were phenomenal. The reception staff were lovely, so welcoming and so helpful. The restaurant staff were brilliant, we were greeted every morning by the wonderful team , who served us with a smile . The food and drink were wonderful . The hotel including the room was sparkling clean , so much attention to detail. I attended the spa and had a beautiful facial and massage , so relaxing. Thank you again team azure retreat , you should be so proud xx

    We’ve only been to the restaurant, and they need to up their game with the level of service. It’s simply not professional enough for such an upscale place, and takes way too long for simple items (like a fruit plate at breakfast). The food is pretty good and the view is spectacular but those don’t compensate for a frustrating dining experience.
