Zefyros Eco Hotel

I stayed at their hotel and made the reservation through Booking.com. It’s true that on Booking there were two options: a standard room and a comfort room (with a price difference of almost €100 for 7 nights). However, the only difference listed in the details was 1 square meter in room size—16 sqm for the standard and 17 sqm for the comfort room. Honestly, I didn’t need “comfort,” just a clean and elegant room like the ones in the pictures. I wasn’t expecting luxury or anything extravagant—this is a 3-star hotel, after all. After checking in, I was unpleasantly surprised to find that our room looked like one used by construction workers, seriously—not at all like a vacation room. I went to reception and told them I was unhappy. They replied that our room was a standard one, and that’s how it’s supposed to be. I told them I disagreed, but I also felt somewhat forced to stay—after all, it was already 5 p.m., and the booking had already been paid. Still, they managed to “solve” the issue by giving us a better room—a so-called superior room, which they called a comfort room. At first, they told us there was no extra charge. But after we moved in, they asked for €210 for the upgrade. I clearly refused to pay. Honestly, they were unprofessional and tried to scam me. At check-out, I didn’t even acknowledge them. Those are not rooms for tourists! That second room they gave us was good, though.

I loved this place. The rooms are basic, what you need is what you have. However, the views are exceptional. The staff, wow. I cant explain how helpful, they all are. There's locals, helping tourist get the full Greek experience, amazing, there's the lovely ladies on reception who, really helped myself as I was ill on travel due to anxiety and helped me get to get some medical staff over there. They were constantly going put of their way to accommodate the visitors. The pool is beautiful, the plants are amazing the collisseum structure is a hidden gem of the hotel, the lizards, animals, sounds everything was just perfect. The room did have a few issues, with Ants, no lock on the bathroom door and leaking AC but it didn't effect the experience. The maids were diamonds after beach visits with the kids, the shower was mucky quickly as they're are a little on the small side in the family standard rooms, however everyday that room was beautiful and fresh again thank to those lovely ladies also. We will be back. If you do visit hire a car, bike or quad for more accessibility but also as withe everything else those lovely ladies on the desk will help have that sorted. The breakfast is basic but there's not much to breakfast anyway, great choice of Jams, honey, and hazelnut chocolate with pancakes though. The night time meals are the opposite, choice, and portion size is amazing. Again thank you to all the staff.

We had a lovely time at Zefyros. Receptionists were very friendly and kindly explained everything. The hotel driver was very cheap (drove us both ways) and friendly, was on time and helped us with our bags. The room was exactly as in the picture. The pool was very big and the water was warm, but it seemed to attract all the local wasps, so it was difficult to get in and out. The food and drinks at the bar were extremely tasty and big portions for the price, we were very pleasantly surprised. There isn't much to do in the area within walking distance, so it is critical to have a car or arrange taxi transport. The views are nice and it is a very quiet area.

Rooms were nice, just a lot of ants getting around, mostly at night, and service was amazing except one guy who was really grumpy never said hello or anything 🤔 I have to say costa was awesome 👌 soon as we got there he was giving us a lot of recommendations. I did ask for a wake-up call on one night but never received it 😔 the location is amazing. Just make sure you are driving as it is out of the way, and taxis cost a lot, so I recommend hiring a car. But drive safe as the roads are wild.

The room was alright. The bathroom wasn't great, but the balcony with the absolutely stunning view made up for it. The staff was nice, although we did have favourites within the staff. I'd say that this hotel, out of the 4 we went to on this trip, felt most like home that being said, we went I early June without kids being in the adjoining rooms and lots of noise anywhere. I'd definitely recommend a visit in this season. One thing though, the WiFi was really really bad.
